after what calum said, i didn't feel like going to school the next day. i wanted to stay home and think, but of course my mom wouldn't let me.

"mom, i don't feel good," i complain, "can i stay home?"

"mikey, you've missed enough school. you're going."

i sigh. "fine."

"go get ready. oh, and the family next door wanted to know if you could walk with one of their boys? he doesn't know where the school is."

"why can't they drive him?"

she turns around and glares at me, "do it, michael. you might even become friends."

"no we won't." i walk out of the kitchen and go to my room to get dressed. i put on black skinny jeans, a green day tank, and converse. then i style my blonde hair like i always do, and head back downstairs.

"breakfast?" my mom asks and i just shake my head, grabbing my bag and heading next door. an older boy sits in the grass leaning against a tree, focused on his phone.

"h- hey," i stutter, causing him to look up.

"oh. hey. why are you here?" he asks. i kinda focus on how he looks, for a second. i love his blue eyes and his messy blonde hair and-

"im supposed to walk someone to school?" i snap out of my thoughts.

"okay," he says getting up and walking to the door. he opens it and shouts, "luke! someone's here for you."

i mutter a "thanks" as he goes back inside.

then a few minutes later, another boy comes outside, with the same blonde hair and blue eyes. i soon realize i regret this decision very much, since it's the same boy i haven't stopped thinking about.

"hey. thanks for walking me. i- i um, im luke. what's your name?"

"michael."

"oh cool. i like your shirt."

"yours too," i say observing that he also has black skinnys on, along with a nirvana tee.

he smiles, "thanks."

"well we should get going."

i start walking the way to school as always, but with luke right next to me.

"so what year are you in?" he asks.

i look over at him and quickly look away. he's beautiful.

i shook my head at what i just thought.

"im in year 11. you?"

"really? me too. do you think i could hang out with you today? i don't know anyone." he half laughs, but stops, looking down.

"uhh, sure. yeah." we walk in silence for a little, but when we arrive at school, i stop and look at him again.

"i dont know if we have classes together, but at lunch i sit at the back tables with two other people, so i'll see you then," i say, giving him a small smile.

"okay. where's the office?"

"it's all the way on the other side of the school," i laugh, "just go around to the front and you'll see it."

"thanks. bye michael."

he starts to walk away, and i head inside through the back to find ashton and calum. i walk to our lockers, they're all pretty close together, and ash and cal are already at mine, talking.

"hey guys," i say, hugging calum. i didn't want to ruin our friendship, so i wanted to make sure he knows it's all good.

"hey mikey. me and ashton are okay now, i forgive him. are we okay, mikey?" cal asks kinda worried, so i just smile and hug him again

"of course."

a/n: next chapter they'll all meet luke !! :) no one is even reading this but I like writing it so it's ok
