"Hey. Any reason you couldn't have just texted me?" Eve asked, a small smile on her face.
"It's..it's about Lily, Eve." There was a discouraged tone to her voice. Hanna sounded as if she were about to break down and cry at any moment.
Eves eyes widened and she held the phone tighter and practically shoved it to her ear. A small lump grew in her throat and she forced herself to ask, "What happened to Lily?". The dark skinned girl could even tell Hanna was having a hard time trying to talk to her.
There was no reply but Eve could hear the other girl begin to sob. The lump in her throat grew larger, she struggled to keep herself composed and calm. "What happened to my girlfriend, Hanna??" She yelled into the phone, tears finally streaming now down the sides of her face. Eve heard Hanna sniffle, and take a big breath. "Sh-she got into an accident." Her voice cracked. "It's bad, it's really bad Eve I don't know if she's gonna be okay I don't know what t-" Her words were lost as she started to cry again, this time harder. "I'm coming over." Eve said, hanging up quickly. Tears were rushing down both sides of her face, she slipped on her shoes and charged out the door.
