Eve was sprawled out on her bed, her heart was beating steadily but she still had a tight anxiousness that clung to her chest. Her eyes were closed and her short black hair pressed firmly against a pillow. One hand clung to her phone as if her life depended on it, and her other hand was rested on her stomach. Her stomach ached and churned with fear as she waited for a reply.
Her phone vibrated in her hand and her brown eyes shot wide open. She turned herself onto her stomach and opened the message immediately.
Dammit Hanna, don't you have anything better to do? She thought. The text was from a friend, one of her best friends to be specific. But it wasn't from who she was waiting for. Hannah's text simply read, "Call me.", which worried Eve. Although they were close, their calls weren't common things that happened.
Eve took a deep breath and began to call.
