~Chapter 32~

(**Tanjiro's POV**)

*I've been searching around the school for a while to see if I'll come across Kanao or Terry, which I had no luck with so far. However, my scavenger hunt got cancelled for a moment because, my ears perked up on some quiet sobbing in the corner of the hallway where almost no one goes to. Concern fled into my brain, as I followed the quiet sobs.*

*Just when I turned to the corner, there I saw....a trembling, scared, undressed, beaten, Muichiro..who was desperately trying to put his clothes back on before anyone comes, while tears streamed down his bruised cheeks. Without another question in my head, I immediately ran towards Muichiro, with a concerned, but angry look.*

"Muichiro-!" *Just when I called out, Muichiro jumped and pushed himself away. Making my concern grow higher from how much Muichiro was paranoid. He relaxed after seeing it was only me, before latching onto me almost immediately, and started breaking down in my shoulder.*

*My eyes widened, and my expression turned into shock, and sadness. Holding him into a secured hug, as if I was protecting him from any more evil coming to get him...but ik I was late..again.* "..Mui..calm down...you're-.....Mui?"

*I stopped talking when I heard just how heavy, and quickly Muichiro's breathing was at. Whatever happened really took a hit onto Muichiro.* "Muichiro..hey! You're alright...you're with me..it's okay..I'm here...shh..." *I said softly, trying to hush him softly because, Muichiro is choking on his own sobs every now and then.*

"..here..." *I said softly, holding his hand, and cradling him in my arms. Taking off my sweater, to wrap it around Muichiro's half exposed body, so he'd feel less embarrassed.* "...Just take some deep breaths...okay?...In...and out...."

*I demonstrated with my own breathing, seeing Muichiro doing the same...coughing a little in the process. We continued this for a few more minutes before Muichiro was calmed down enough, and just slumped his head on my shoulder, as I brushed with hair with my fingers.* "..There you go....." *I said with a soft smile, but a small pang in my chest.*

*...Muichiro looked up at me with his teary eyes, and I just brushed them away with my thumb, and cups one of his bruised cheeks...still feeling him tremble in my arms. I was gonna ask who did this, but right now..Muichiro needs treatment...but I'll ask him when we get to the nurses office.*

(*10 minutes later*)

*When we got to the nurses office, Muichiro was getting some of his wounds patched up, and a few questions asked. Then when the nurse left to go get of painkillers, I took the moment to sit and listen to whoever did this to him. To no surprise, it was that health hazards for humanity, Terry, but I was surprised that he was here, even tho I couldn't find him.*

*With Muichiro sitting in the nurses office, and a request if Muichiro wants to go home, instead of being escorted back to class like any other school nurse...Muichiro just sat on the sat, looking down at his feet unresponsive. My brows furrowed as I took his hand, but he just pulled his hand away, and mumbled softly...* "..I'll walk home..." *He finally said, his expression blank.*

*...Me and the nurse exchanged looks when we saw him getting up, and just walking out of the nurses office without another word. I felt worried for my boyfriend, knowing he's been through something no one wishes to be in. I understand why he needed to leave anyways...and now I have to leave as well to take care of some-.....existing 'things/people'.

(**Yuichiro's POV**)

*I was just peacefully laying in my room, looking up at the ceiling after having a 3 hour FaceTime call with Genya, until I heard the front door from downstairs opening, and footsteps quickly running up the stairs. I raised a brow.* '..Muichiro's home early?..' *I thought. I was about to go up and check up on him, even tho I hate using the damn wall for balance because I fall either way. Might as well crawl.*
