- Savannah's POV -
Late. Again. This time, the stair case was closed due to horny seniors making out.
"Out of the way" some bulky senior shoves into me, knocking my binder onto the floor once again.
Because of the secret stair case, I never used the main hallways so I wasn't prepared for the harsh behavior of upper classmen.
You would think almost no one would treat me like this seeing as I'm a junior, but it's a free for all in this high school.
"Funny seeing you here" Hayes leans against the wall, a smug smile spread across his stupid face.
"I would love to chat, but I have a class to get too" I pick up the last of the debris of my papers.
"The way I see it, you're already late. What's an extra couple minutes going to do?"
I shrug. He kind of had a point, I wasn't going to be in any less trouble then I already was.
Hayes starts to stroll down the hallway, but turns midway, "coming?" his eyebrow raises.
"Uh, yeah" my voice is quieter then usual, but he was just so intimidating to me for some reason.
I followed contently, yet tensely because of how scared I was of him snapping back to his mean behavior.
"Ah. Mr. Grier, how can I help you?" A pudgy old lady exclaimed from behind the main office desk.
"Mr. Brown asked us to grab some things for a new experiment, you know him, always doing something crazy"
"What?" I ask, wondering where this was all coming from.
Hayes glances at me with his infamous glare that made me immediately shut up.
"Oh, but he gets the job done," the old office woman unlocks the heavy doors to the school with a slide of her key card, "go ahead" she motions for us to go.
Hayes pushes the door open not bothering to hold it for me, not that I expected him too but it's a nice thought.
"So, what experiment are we gathering stuff for?" I look around at the garbage filled grass from careless students.
"You have so much to learn" he shakes his head with a little bit of laugh.
"Well, you said-"
"Those office ladies are so gullible, and quite frankly, so are you" he hops in his car, but I just stand there dumbly.
"You can get in, I don't bite" he rolls down the window, teasing me from the drivers seat.
I quick get in the car, but stay quiet, waiting for him to say something else.
I watch him as we pull out of the dreaded school parking lot. A straight expression stays on his face, but his eyebrows are scrunched together a bit in concentration.
I had never really taken the time to look at his features, nor had I ever been this close to him.
Seeing him up close like this really made me realize how good looking he is. Everything just looked easy when he did it, like driving.
I wasn't anywhere near as good as he was at driving, to be honest, I wasn't half as good at anything he did.
"Can I help you?" He snapped me out of my thoughts, a smirk danced on his lips.
I cough uncomfortably, was I really just staring at him? "No" I quick turn my gaze to the long road ahead.
There certainly wasn't any attraction towards him, but he sure as hell was absolutely attractive.
**
"You worry too much" he shakes his head.
School had ended about an hour ago, and I was still out with Hayes doing the most pointless things a teenager could do.
"Well," I shrug, "I like to be home at a certain time" lie.
What was I supposed to say, 'my parents don't actually care, nor do they know where I am, I'm just incredibly uncomfortable in the car with you'
Hayes arches his eyebrow, not convinced.
I cross my arms like a child, still not wanting to tell him the complete truth.
Something changes about his face as he scans the street.
Quickly, he pulls the car to the sidewalk, "out" he demands unlocking the car door.
"W-what?" I stutter, shocked by his mood swing.
"You heard me. Out" his voice becomes stern and deep.
I reluctantly exit the car and he pulls away hastily, almost running over my foot. Luckily, I jumped in time, saving my pinky toe.
Looks like I'm walking home.
An all too familiar gleam of pink, purple, and sequins come strolling towards me.
"Not so fast" the head of the group says before I can pass them.
"What do you want from me Jessica" I sigh, annoyed.
Out of all the people they could be bothering, why did it have to be me?
"So you have a thing with Hayes now?" She crosses her awfully pale arms while smacking her bubblegum.
"Who told you that?" I say growing more and more agitated.
"Sources. Look, Hayes doesn't love you. He belongs with the only girl he ever loved, me" she puts her manicured hand on her chest over dramatically.
"You can have him" I mumble. A dumbfounded look comes across her face "that was easier then I thought" she breathes a laugh.
As I walk past she stops me again, "oh and one more thing. I don't want to see you looking, talking, not even thinking about him. I can't have distractions while I'm trying to get him back into my loving, quite perfect, arms" she's over obsessed with herself, and her 'lover'.
I shoot her a fake smile, "not a problem"
"Such a doll" her mouth pulls up into the same fake smile I was presenting.
Just as I thought nothing could get worse, a loud rumble erupted from the now dark grey sky. In seconds, my hair is completely drenched with rain droplets pouring down from the sky.
I loved thuderstorms, but being in them was a completely different story..

Woah this is long overdue but hey better then never. I don't think I've read this in over a year so enjoy. Maybe 3 votes for next part?
