--Timeskip to your teenage years--
"Mom, when is Dad going home?" You asked while helping her doing some of the chores around the house. "Hmm, he hasn't told me yet.. Why dear?", "W-well, dad's been working throughout the year.. A-and he should also.. You know, go back home.." Your mom chuckled and replied. "Hmm, you're correct. But, just like what I've said earlier, he hasn't contacted me yet.."
Little did you know, your mom knows when your dad will be going home and kept is as a secret since her husband told her to.
So, you decided to go out for a while just to clear some things out. You wore your outdoor clothes and them that you'll be out for a couple of hours.

Sitting at the bench near the park, you heaved a sigh and a lot of things were floating in your mind. 'Is dad going home?', 'What if he doesn't want to go back and just stay there?'. You shook your head and stood up, walking down towards your home.
By the time you have arrived, your mom told you to help her in cooking, while your brother was setting up the table. "Uhh, mom.. Why are we preparing a lot of foods todat? Is there a party or what?" You asked, while chopping off some of the ingredients.
"Hmm, maybe.." She giggled and continued cooking , ignoring all your questions. You gave up on asking questions to her since it would just be ignored by your beloved mother. "Ah! Onii-chan, let me help you~" you strode towards your brother and helped him prepare the table and also the house.

Few hours passed, you were really curious as to why your mom prepared a lot of foods, specifically your dad's favorite foods. 'He's coming home?' You thought but shrugged it off anyway.
A doorbell rang and your mom told you to open the door because she was still upstairs fixing something.
When you opened the door, there you saw a box lying on the floor and it was addressed to you. Picking it up, you opened it and you saw a letter and you started reading it.
'Hey, (Name)-chan! Will you do me a favor just a tiny favor.. Will you please go to the park, and you'll meet someone there..'
That's what the letter says, so you decided to follow it and you went to the park.
Arriving at the park, you saw a kid wearing an eyeglass and was walking towards your direction. "Are you, (Name)?" The kid asked. You nodded and he gave you another letter.
'Sorry for hassling you but can you please go back home? Just go back..'
"Seriously?" A tick mark was shown on your forehead and ran towards your house.

When you were standing outside your house, you rang the doorbell and waited for someone to open it.
By the time it was opened, you started talking. "Hey mom, were you the one who pla--" you paused as you turned your head to face the person who opened the door.
"I'm back (Name)-chan~" There stood your father smiling at you. "D-dad? Wait, am I dreaming? I guess I am, oh my god!" Kuroko laughed and pinched both of your cheeks,
"No, you are not dreaming~" he said.
After realizing that you weren't dreaming, tears started to form on your eyes and you directly hug your father. "Why didn't you tell me?" You cried while Kuroko slowly rubbed your back. "I wanted to surprise my daughter of course~" he smiled although you can't see it since you buried your face on your father's chest.
You stopped crying and looked at your father, smiling. "Awwe, my baby gurl is all grown up now.." Kuroko ruffled your hair and chuckled. "Ehh! I'm still a kid you know! Your little kid!" You exclaimed and both of you started laughing. You hugged him once again and said,
"Welcome home, Daddy-chan~"
