The countdown had begun. Exam week was here.

The campus was buzzing with students in full panic mode. Some running around, looking for missing handouts, others suddenly remembering that lecturers had been dropping hints all semester. Overnight reading groups had formed, and you could practically smell the desperation in the air.

Me? I was somewhere between I need to pass and let me just disappear into thin air.

The only good thing about exam week? Revision classes.

And luckily for us, we had one today.

The classroom was almost full when I arrived. A few students were already flipping through their notes, some looked like they hadn't slept in days, and others like Kemi were just there to catch cruise.

That girl was never serious.

I found a seat near the window and placed my bag down. Just as I pulled out my notebook, a loud "Alright, First Class students! Let's get this over with!" filled the room.

The class burst into laughter.

It was Mr. Akin, our lecturer. The only man who could make revision feel like a comedy show.

They laughed because they didn't believe in themselves. First class?? They've literally played the whole semester away.

He walked in, shaking his head like he was tired of all of us. "Look at you people. Some of you don't even know why you're here."

Someone at the back muttered, "To suffer."

He turned sharply. "Who said that?"

The whole class laughed again.

"Anyway, let's get serious," he said, placing his marker on the table. "If you like, joke now and carry over later. It's your business."

We all quickly straightened up.

"Now," he continued, "you see this exam? It is not for the weak. But lucky for you, I am feeling merciful today. So I will tell you where to focus."

Everyone instantly became alert. Even the unserious ones found their pens.

He started writing on the board.

"Number one: Past Questions. If you have not been solving them, I don't know what you've been doing."

Murmurs filled the class. Some people were already whispering, "Abeg who get past questions?."

"Number two: Theory questions. I don't like lazy students, so expect a lot of explanations."

Groans. Complaints. But no one dared to argue.

He continued listing topics, cracking jokes in between, calling out the students who had been sleeping all semester, and randomly throwing questions at people.

"You! The one at the back wearing a cap like Wizkid, define Living Organisms!"

The guy stammered. "Uh... organic ... it's, uh..."

"Ah! You don't know? My friend, remove that cap! Let fresh air touch your brain!"

The whole class exploded in laughter again.

For the next hour, he revised key topics, explained difficult parts, and even did a small Q&A session. By the time he wrapped up, people were actually thanking him, which was rare.

"Alright, that's all. Go and read. And if you fail, don't come and cry near my office."

And with that, he strolled out.

You've reached the end of published parts.
