Did Connor really just say what I think he said? "What do you mean you need a break?" I asked, still in shock. "I mean we need a break. All this drama didn't start until..." He said. I interrupted him saying "YOUR dad hit me. Why are you letting him win?" I asked getting angry. "What do you mean?!? I'm breaking up with you for your safety." He said standing up. "I don't need you to protect me. What do you think my moms are for?!?" I said. "Well it seems like protecting you is the only thing I'm good at in this relationship." He said. "You know that's not true. " I said. "Yes it is. What else am I good for. And I'm not even good at that. If I was this whole thing would not have happened." He said. I sit down next to him. He puts his head on my shoulder. "I thought I lost you. I wouldn't know how to live with myself." He said. "I will never blame you for any of this, and you shouldn't blame yourself. Everything happens for a reason. I may not know the reason this happened, but I definitely know you're not it." I said.
