I look around me. At my surroundings. And all I feel is loneliness. I wonder, "When's it my turn?"
When is it my turn to find my mate. My other half. My soulmate. Someone who will love me for who I am, not because of my status or what I am.
As my gaze wanders the room, I see mates. So intimate, as if they are in their own personal bubble. I am alone in the corner, drink in hand, wallowing in my self-pity. When I walk outside and onto the terrace I began to smell a scent. A unique one. A smell made just for me.
My wolf begins to stir into head. She wants out and I know I can't give in. If the monster is let out, who knows what will happen. But as the scent begins to fade, my wolf is angry. She wants him and I'm not letting her. I can't.
She begins to force her way to the roadblock I have put up so she won't completely take over. I struggle to withhold her, but she is able to control my body without shifting. I -she- begins to take me to the exit.
"Hey. Leaving so soon?" someone asks.
They grab my arm and force me to turn around. My wolf doesn't care enough to figure who this person is. As soon as he starts to back away, afraid, I know my wolf has come out to play.
"I swear to god if u touch me again... I will rip your goddamn head off and shove it up your asshole," she said very pissed.
I need to get out of here. My eyes have begun to change and I'm starting to grow fur. I quickly run out the door to see if the scent is still here.
Its not.And my wolf is not happy. My bones begin to tighten and break underneath my skin. She forces the shift and begins to smell around. We growl in sadness and anger and begin to sniff harder.
He's gone.
We were livid, until I realized that his scent was still lingering. In my wolf form, I dashed off into the forest following the scent as fast as I can go. I ignore everything around me and I run.
I run and I run and I run.
I come to a pitch black clearing and can't see anything. The scent ends here. I hear rushing water and I go closer to the sound.
"He must have gone through the water and his scent must have washed off," my wolf snarls.
She paces back and forth, agitated and pushed to the limit. She can't take it anymore. We howl in pain and lick our emotional wounds in silence.
She walks around the border of the clearing many times until she finally settles near the water, where the mouthwatering scent was last.
"Next time, he won't get away easy. And next time he'll know what happens when you run from me..."

WerewolfYou know that shy, timid girl in the corner? The one who cries herself to sleep and is bullied? I'm the opposite of that. I'm the baddest bitch there is and the only thing that can stop me is my mate. Ahh...that word MATE. It can make or break me...
