Chapter 31 Penelope & Charles

Penelope and Charles 

Ever since Penelope and Charles adopted their little girl Alice Penelope has been a lot happier then she was before. She loved taking care of her and helping and watching her grow up even if she was just another couple weeks older, as a baby and to a first mom that's a long time. Penny has been taking some time off work so she could be with Alice, and her work didn't seem to have that big of a problem with it considering she knew the people she worked with as friends, and because the things she went to even get a baby they understood. And with Chase still working the same he was before they still have a good amount of money coming in.

Alice was about 5 months old now, and was starting to teethe and Penny and Chase don't like it anymore then she does. She's been so fussy and not sleeping since her gums hurt so badly, and with her teeth forming she was swallowing more spit and sucking on her hands more and she was starting to not feel good either so she was not happy at all and Penny and Chase felt so bad for her.

It was the evening, Penny had been really tired all day because Alice was up a lot of the night because of her teeth and she had been fussy and whiny all day too and it was stressing Penny out. Chase had to work all day today and hasn't been home to help at all.

Penny was trying to make dinner as she held Alice in one arm trying to hold a teething ring in her mouth as she whines and whimpers from the pain.

Chase walks in the house "Honey I'm home!" He calls from the laundry room

"Were in the Kitchen!" She calls as she keeps cooking

He smiles and walks in wrapping his arms around her waist "Hey baby"

"Hi" she sighs

"Whats wrong honey?" He asks looking at her

"Nothing, I'm just really stressed, and I feel so bad for Alice and her teeth"

"I know baby, I know, don't worry it will be over as soon as the teeth break the skin and then she will be the happy little Alice we love again"

"I know, I'm just tired, and she won't let me put her down"

"Yeah, shes probably just being clingy and wants her mommy cuddles" Chase slightly smiles "How about you let me finish cooking this and you go cuddle on the couch with her to make her feel better"

Penny stops string and looks up at him "But you have been working all day"

"So? You have been too"

"No, I've been home all day..."

"Being a mother is working too honey, go on I got this" He says and kisses her cheek

Penny slightly smiles "Thank you"

"Of course" Chase smiles and starts cooking while Penny went and sat down on the couch with Alice "Mamas here baby girl" She holds her close rubbing Alice's back as she whimpers.

Chase looks over at them and smiles as he contuines to make dinner for them.

Penny watches tv as she rubs Alice's back trying to keep her to calm down and relax

A little later Case calls from the kitchen "Dinner's ready!" 

Penelope gets up walking in with Alice, grabbing her bottle that was warming putting it in her mouth holding it as she sat down "thanks for cooking honey" 

"Of course, anything for you" He smiles sitting down 

Alice starts whining and pushing away the bottle and Penny sighs taking it out setting it on the table and putting a teething ring in her mouth laying her down in her bouncer right by the table.
