(Vox's POV :)
My body ached as I took the last few steps of my journey, one paw after another I chanted to myself, as my aching, blood wrought paws finally halted, and I fell.
I landed in a small patch of leaves softening the landing on my sides, and slowly, my vision grew blurry, as exhaustion took over. I looked down at my ribs showing through my skin, before i looked up and... I saw another wolf hovering a few inches from me...
(Kellic's POV :)
Kellic is a lone wolf who likes wandering. Southern woods is his territory, and no one goes into it, no matter how desperate. The scars on his face and shoulders show his struggle to live.
He wandered through his territory, like normal, when he caught scent of another male.
He stayed in the brush following the scent, and what he found was an emaciated yearling limping along. He appears to have already lost his life.
The wolf, was small, but certainly no pup. His coat resembled a Timber wolf's, in that white fur ran from his chest, down to his belly, and brown fur accented the black and grey fur on his back. His paws were lined with brown that trailed into white, leading up his legs. His face consisted of his mouth, and nose area having white fur, but the top half having brown fur feathered into grey.
Kellic exited the brush, and watched as the young wolf collapsed. By now, Kellic was mere feet from the wolf, and closing. With his head held high, and ears forward, he bares his teeth, and with a low growl, he hovers over the other wolf, who now seemed to be fading away.
(Vox's POV :)
Vox stared at the wolf before him, a blank expression on his face, as he tried to concentrate. It was difficult as his vision slowly started blurring, and all he was able to view was a clouded image of the world before him.
"w-who...are you?" he asked.
He tried to raise his head, and as weak as he was, he also raised himself onto his paws, shifting his weight as to avoid too much pain in one as he stood before the other. When he stood, he took a deep breath, and he was able to see the wolf before him, as his vision finally cleared.
The bright red fur that was his bangs, is what hit him the most, as he'd never seen such vivid colors in one's coat. It was a beautiful addition, to his luscious black coat, that enveloped his entire body. The Single scar on his eye is what he noticed next, as well as the few others, adorning his shoulders.
As he continued to look over the wolf stood before him, he felt a burning in one of his paws, his vision got grainy as he let one of his legs buckle under him.
(Kellics POV :)
Kellic grabbed the wolf by the fur of his neck, like a mother holds a child. Kellic began walking trying not to drag the yearling too much. In his mind he debated throwing him over his shoulder but figured it would cause too much pain. Silently he walked throw a bush, coming up to a small steam. With a huff, he dropped the wolf into shallow water. Kellic glared down at the wolf and breathed calmly.
(Vox's POV :)
Vox shot up after being placed in the water, the icy feel of it on his skin caused him to become more aware of his surroundings, and he looked at the wolf in front of him.
He stood before the wolf, before sitting down, his head perched high... "I'm Vox", he said with a stern voice, eying the other, "who are you?" he said, a bit of playfulness in his words.
(Kellics POV :)
Kellic sat up straight and glared down at the pup. "You'll learn who I am. You look like you need more important things than my name...." Kellic walked into the water and drank some calmly. He turned to Vox "you are from up north. The snowy north correct?" Kellic stretched out and yawned.
(Vox's POV :)
Vox nodded to the other wolf, "I am, but how did you know" he asked.
He stepped out of the water, before turning around to face it. He bent down, and he profusely began lapping up the water, slightly groaning with pleasure as the cool particles soothed his dry, aching mouth and throat.
(Kellic's POV :)
Kellic huffed, "well Vox", Kellic took a sip of water and continued.
"Your fur is very thick for a southern wolf, so you have to come from a cold place. North.".
Kellic circled the wolf now "your paws are thick in padding and slightly webbed, made for long treks across snow. And you accent is prominent."
(Vox's POV :)
Vox kept his distance from the wolf, backing up slightly as he neared him. After he felt satisfied, he decided to pry a bit more, interrogating the wolf with a bit more force in his words.
"So...again I ask you, since you know my name... what is yours?" he spoke, an icy glare fixed on the other.
(Kellics POV :)
Kellic smirked at the wolf. Kellic almost laughed at his 'glare' but decided to play his game. "Oh!! Mighty northern wolf by the name of Vox!" He spun around dramatically and held his head high.
"My name." Kellic quite the act and held a dominant stance, "is Kellic."
