'Tied Up'

Two horses running up the green fields leading to Kardia, under a blue sky with a bright green grass under their hooves.

"Shall we do the sign thing?"

Elmer asked while pulling his horse to a stop, followed by Victor.

The old trainee reached into his saddlebag and pulled out a small clay tube which was packed with a special powder. Striking flint against steel, before setting it into fire.

Suddenly the blue sky was taken over by a green smoke. Climbing fast, twisting as the wind carried it high above the trees. Reaching those it was meant for.

Evan's daggers clashed against Hawk's sword causing a loud sound all over the forest.

She was fast, twisting away before his sword could touch her but Hawk was relentless, forcing her back with heavy, precise swings. Each time she tried to slip past his defenses, his sword was there to meet her, forcing her to back down and try again.

A few feet away, Mirai's chain whistled through the air, the pointed end slicing toward Venator like a striking viper.

Venator barely dodged it , twisting his body at the last second. He moved his wrist then his own daggers came alive, flashing in between Mirai's attacks.

The chain gave Mirai range, but Venator was quicker up close, forcing the fight into a limited distance which was dangerous for the both of them yet they kept exchanging those deadly attacks.

A misstep had to happen.

Evan went in too deep, aiming for Hawk's ribs, not expecting his next move.

His sword spun, catching her dagger and twisting it from her grip. She barely pulled back in time, rolling away as the blade slashed just past her shoulder.

She got up after taking some steps back, before getting another dagger from her back pocket.

Hawk threw the one he stole from her on the ground around him, before he got into his defense position.

"And here I thought you would not hurt a woman"

Evan jokingly said while trying to catch her breath.

'Shit, my shoulder is bleeding and I think I twisted my left wrist too'

She still had her smiling face on while she was thinking of a way to keep the fight going on with one hand.

"I have broken a lot of hearts but breaking bones is a first"

Hawk smiled back replying.

Mirai wasn't faring much better. Venator had closed the distance between them, forcing him to defend instead of strike.

Mirai lashed out with his chain, aiming high towards the neck, but Venator jumped higher dodging the strike and in a blink, a dagger was pressing against Mirai's throat. Not deep enough to cut, but deep enough to warn.

"You did aim for a kill"

Venator said.

Suddenly, Hawk's eyes caught on a faint green smoke coming from the side of Kardia.

Venator saw it too and without wasting another second of time they both ran away.

Leaving behind two confused hunters.

"What the hell?"

Mirai said while looking at Evan who was in shock too.

"What is that?"

She asked pointing towards the green smoke fading into the blue sky.

Knowing very well that Mirai had no clue.

Kardia's forest was very quiet, excepting for the aching voices, the animals could clearly hear.

His head was hurting badly, all he could see was black. Probably because he did not open his eyes.

He tried to feel the pain in his head but he could not move his hands.

Alex finally opened his eyes, all of the guards sent with him were tied into the trees with ropes tightly.

He took a look around him to realise that he was in the same situation as them.

Alex was furious, he immediately reached into his back pocket and used his dagger to cut the rope.

"Can I even count on you? is this a backup team?"

He could not even be mad since he himself lost.

Alex quietly walked towards the guard next to him, he untie him and asked him to do the same with the rest of guards.

"You, go back to the palace, tell the king that the prince is announcing war, the rest of you, head towards the entrance of Kardia wait for backup"

Once he ordered, everyone went on their own way, leaving him alone behind.

Alex touched his forehead, the blood was dry but it was still hurting.

'I really need a vacation'

He thought, sighing before he followed the guards, waiting for the backup to reach them, not knowing that someone was still around him.

While he was running back towards the palace in the big forest an arrow went through the man's back, which made him fall.

Willow came out of the trees and walked towards the body.

"I can't stand tying yet another one"

He complained before doing it anyways.

The second prince was startled by the unfamiliar footsteps he could hear from upstairs.

He immediately regretted not having his sword in hand and rushed towards Asher room quietly.

Louis grabbed the sword he found neatly placed in the corner and started heading downstairs.

The closer he got the clearer he could hear her voice.

"Stop wasting my time and tell me where is the red haired girl?"

Rose said.

She had been repeating herself for a while now since Elione did not say a single word.

"You're so stubborn, I will have to wait for her to come back then"

Rose said before taking a seat.

"Sit down too"

She then ordered the woman standing in front of her.

The hunter was very calm, it made Elione feel more restless.

But when she saw the prince approaching them from the back, she felt worse.

No matter how much she tried not look, her eyes kept looking towards the back, which made Rose look back.

'He made no sound'

When she saw his sword swifting in front of her eyes, she realised that it was too late for her to get a dagger and dodge it.

A moment of silence fell upon the room, blood dripping off the silver sword falling on the wooden ground.

Rose was holding the sword with her right hand.

Even though she was badly injured, her grip was much stronger than the prince's which made him lose his sword in a moment of distraction.

"You know I am not allowed to kill you prince Louis, how about you join us?"

Rose said...
