Expectations were high for SNSD:
All memebers were professionally trained to master singing and dancing as well as acting and modeling.
The group debuted on August. 5, 2007 on music show "Inkigayo" with the song "Into the new world" and rocketed their way to super rookie stardom with popular songs like

The girls popularity soared in 2009 with the release of their megahit single "GEE- JAPANESE VERSION SONG- currently the longest running number one song on KBS Music Bank for nine consecutive weeks (Tied with Psy's Gangnam Style as of Press time).
With pretty faces, infectious songs, smooth dance steps, and admirable fashion sense, the girl's managed to sustain their status as "Korea's National Girl Group," soldifying their reign on K-Pop charts with hits like:

-Hoot!
In 2010, the girls began their bid for a share of the lucrative Japanese Market .
Using the Japanese name " Shouju Jidae released their first original Japanese song "Mr. Taxi"
Along with the Japanese rendition of "Run Devil Run".
Later that year they made their Korean comeback with "The Boys" co-written by Tiffany Hwang and produced by Grammy Award-winning American singer -song writer, Teddy Riley. The song wich was also released in Japanese and English language, showcase their coming -of- age and sold more than 100,000 copies in each of the album's Korean releases-- proof that there was nothing the girls cannot couldn't conquer.
The group's focus for 2012 stayed fixed on Japan. Much to the delight of their fans, their second Japanese studio album Girl's Generation II: Girls & Peace conquered charts with hits

2012 saw a lot of activity with SNSD members doing solo activities in this fields of endorsments and acting:
-Yoona ind Love Rain
- Yuri in Fashion King
And the formation of the sub-unit TAETISEO( Taeyon, Tiffany, Seohyun- 3 Singers of SNSD).
Their song "Twinkle" was welled received by fans, debuting at the 126th spot on the billboard 200.
