Nowadays, whenever Siobhan came to the nursery, Marjorie found the blonde easy to talk to and sometimes, she even bordered on being warm. The Siobhan that was currently typing away in the manager's office was a changed woman - she barely resembled the nasty, judgemental tyrant that had once upon a time reigned over the sister nursery. Occasionally, she could still be defensive or slightly snappy, but there was a calmness behind her emerald green eyes that had never existed before.

Marjorie was a bridge builder and no matter what, she wanted the people around her to be happy. Several month ago, little things about Siobhan's behaviour had started to alarm Marjorie, bit by bit. The blonde was no longer combative, in fact, she seemed to have no energy at all. Her voice had become dull, she looked dead behind the eyes, everything about Siobhan had suddenly seemed heavy, as if something was weighing her down constantly.

One particular conversation had haunted Marjorie, during which Siobhan momentarily alluded to being in a situation she didn't want to be in. As quickly as the blonde's armour had fallen, she changed the subject, refusing to elaborate as Marjorie's mind went into overdrive. Afterwards, every time she saw Siobhan she made an effort to ask her if she was okay, willing her to open up a little. She observed silently as Siobhan forged a friendship with Viv, confused but glad that finally, the blonde had made a friend. Then, that broke down and Marjorie found herself feeling sad, wondering at night if Siobhan was lonely and more worryingly, if Roger was treating her well.

Siobhan was just so hard to get close to, but Marjorie desperately wanted to help.

The night of the Halloween ball, Marjorie was running late as usual, rushing to arrive in time for the beginning of Siobhan and Roger's wedding. Subconsciously, the brunette wasn't so sure she wanted to watch Roger officially getting his claws into a woman half his age - a woman whose fire he'd clearly extinguished. Something about the entire thing made Marjorie's heart ache, but she couldn't quite articulate why. When she spotted Viv, who was about to get into her car, something within the brunettes heart lifted.

As far as she knew, Mia had actually invited Viv to the ball but clearly the nurse had decided against it. The conversation that followed was confused and slightly frantic as Marjorie grasped the opportunity she'd been given, she had to get Viv to the wedding - she was the only one who could stop it. Thankfully, Marjorie's erratic driving got them there in time and suddenly, Siobhan was free.
