Intro

Past..

My long fingers tapped onto the keys of the typewriter. Darkness surrounded the filthy cramped space you would call a log cabin, but it's not your ordinary cabin per say. It was a place where specific people get turned into the undead. I am too of the undead – I'm their leader. Curtis Duboir. I've turned many humans into a vamp, but he was different. Yes, he, Chris, the stubborn youngster that I saw potential in. I feel as he could do my job as well as I did. He was quite difficult to work with, but he made process very quickly. Yes, he'd make a fine leader for such species. Since he wasn't a full vampire, he could go out into day time without any trouble. Of course a vamp could come out into the daytime as well, but he had to make an effort to do so. We could also bare children, but it isn't wise. Vamp children could be used for the wrong reasons. Chris was only a baby when I turned him into a vampire; he was also an orphan that I brought in as my own. So, that would supposedly make me his 'father'. He was now thirteen and in Middle School. He made a lot of friends, but he made sure they didn't know about his little secret. He even played basketball, but had an 'advantage'.

"Who types on a typewriter these days, Old Man?" Chris snickered, interrupting my inner thoughts. His timing was always a bit off.

"Who still wears Spongebob undies?" I flashed a crooked smile.

He narrowed his dark brown eyes.

"Touché."

"Ready to get started with today's training?" I said.

He whined. "Aw, man, gramps, could we just wait til' tomorrow? I just came back from basketball practice."

"I don't want to hear it. We have to keep you prepared." I held out my hand, twirled my index finger and then pulled it in towards my palm. He came flying towards me momentarily. We were now face to face.

"How-how!?"

I could see the pupils in his eyes tremble in fear.

"You have many things to learn about me, Christopher."
