Chapter 2

Suzanne was curious about this freaking day, she didn't sleep the whole night thinking and wondering about the doll. "What is that doll? I have never seen it before with Mike." she murmured

"Suzanne!" Mike said interrupting her thoughts. "What are you doing? Why didn't you sleep?"

"Mike, tell me. Don't you remember anything about yesterday?"

"What about yesterday, nothing happened."

"Mike, let us play with your toys."

"Really?!"

"yes, I feel like playing with you."

"yay, thanks Suzanne," He said in a happy tone. "Follow me."

He opened a box full of toys, she started searching for the one she wanted but unfortunately, she didn't find it

"Go to sleep Mike!!" She said in an annoying tone

"What? Why? We were supposed to play."

"Just go to bed Mike, I'm not in the mood anymore." she shouted

Mike went to the bathroom first and then asked her if he had done anything wrong she told him that she was sorry that she shouted at him and she kissed him and took him to his bed. Suzanne couldn't sleep. Her mind was full of thoughts and she couldn't stop thinking and wondering about everything happened.

"I know I saw this doll before somewhere, but where?!!" She keeps wondering

It was 7:00 AM and she didn't sleep yet. Mrs. Evelensh woke up asking her why didn't she sleep

"Nothing, I just was watching a couple of movies. They were amazing." She explained

"Did you finish packing everything you want we are leaving early today."

"Yeah, I'm completely done." She said smiling

Suzanne was frightened and scared to hell about this new home. She thought there was a relationship between what happened the previous day and this house.

"Suzanne, go wake Mike up."

She didn't want to do it as she was afraid of what may happen, but she started to move forward towards Mike's room. She knocked and entered finding him sleeping like an angel. She kissed him and started to shake him gently to wake him up

"Mike, wake up!" She whispered "Mike, c'mon we are moving out now."

He jumped from his bed feeling incredibly happy

"I'm ready." He said in an excited tone

She exited Mike's room

"Mum, we are all ready."

"Good, I'm ready too, start putting the bags in the car."

Suzanne was extremely exhausted, as she didn't sleep well, actually, she didn't sleep at all. They packed everything and they were ready to go. Suzanne was going to drive.

She started to drive and used her map to know the directions perfectly. When they were far away from the house by three blocks the car engine stopped. Suzanne got out of the car to check it.

"What happened Suzanne?" Her mum wondered

"Nothing mum, I think there is no problem at all."

Suzanne got back into the car and started the engine and it started and they continued their way.

They arrived at the house, it was an old house of two floors. Mike was very excited as it looks better than their old one. Suzanne opened the door and entered. When they entered they smelled a stinking smell coming from nowhere but suddenly, the smell disappeared and they started to smell a nice smell.

"I'll go choose my room." Said Mike in an excited happy tone

"I'll go check the kitchen." Said Suzanne.

When Suzanne entered the kitchen which is on the first floor, she felt that she was hearing something, maybe someone crying or something but it was so far so that she couldn't hear it clearly. She started putting some food in the fridge. When she closed the fridge's door she found on it some scratches which brought her a flashback when she was hearing a sound like claws scratching into something under the bed. She heard her mother's voice calling her. "Coming mum!" She answered looking to the entrance of the kitchen, she looked again at the fridge finding nothing. The scratches disappeared, but how? She felt very curious about it and she definitely was sure that there was a relation between all this.

She went to her mother.

"Did you choose your room yet sweetheart?"

"Not yet mum."

"Well go choose which one do you want to stay in to start tidying the house and finish before midnight."

Suzanne started to go up the stairs, it was old stairs, very old. every step made noise until she reached the second floor. She was walking in the corridor and suddenly she heard a door opening behind her, she turned around and found the door which was closed opening. She entered slowly thinking that it was Mike. She entered, the room had one small bed, 2 chairs in front of each other, a big window behind the bed and a closet. But the most horrifying moment when she found Mike knocking on the door and calling her. but how did the door close and when and how Suzanne didn't hear it closing?

"Suzanne, are you inside?" Mike asked

Suzanne tried to open the door but it didn't open. It was locked. She thought Mike is the one who closed it.

"Mike, open the door," Suzanne yelled. But she heard Mike saying a strange thing.

"Mum, Suzanne isn't here too"

She thought he isn't hearing her and he is not the one who locked her. She grabbed the chair and broke the door. She ran downstairs finding her mum so nervous.

"Where were you, Suzanne?" Said her mum in a nervous tone

"Mum, who locked me in the room?"

"You weren't in the house, Suzanne and do you know what time is it now?"

Suzanne looked to her watch and was shocked by the time, it was 2:25 AM

"What? How? Mum, I was locked in the room and I broke the door to get out, come and look."

She grabbed her mother's hand and made her walk with her to the room finding the door fixed.

"What the ---"

"Suzanne where were you?" Mike interrupted her when he came from outside

"What have you been doing outside in such late time Mike?"

"I was looking for you"

"Mum, you let him outside and it's 2:30 AM "

"What should I have done?"

Suzanne left them and went downstairs and sat on the stairs.
