Chapter 12

Graham's POV

I was rather surprised when the two wolves in front of me and the girl on one of the wolves backs turned and jumped off the damn cliff.

I growled irritatedly.

Dammit! I said cursing angrily.

I was tempted to shift back into human form but I was not going to let those rogues slip through my claws again.

I barked sharply at Felix and justin and we were running to some where that would meet up with the Rapids at the bottom of the cliff.

Once we found a bank that was beside the Rapids I knew the girls wouldn't be far. If they survived. The odds of survival were higher for the wolves but as for that girl. She would be lucky if she survived.

We ran out onto the bank our eyes searching desperately for the two wolves and the girl. I growled at Felix and Justin and said find them. We are not going to lose them again. We will jump in the god forsaken water and save their furry hides if we have to but these damn rogues are not getting away from us again.

Felix and Justin said in sync yes sir. And we were all having our eyes dart over the water looking for the wolves. And the human. They better have made it. Or I'll be supremely angry.

Linda's POV

I was worried the minute Damien mind linked me and told me the girls were in trouble. I was tempted to run after them.. But Damien wouldn't allow it.

I was pacing and I felt something that made me gasp with pain. Something was wrong.

"Damien!!!" I screamed. My mate came running to me and helped me off the floor.

"Linda! What is it!" He yelled tensely.

I gasped and said."the girls! Something's wrong! They need help!"

He nodded and we got to our feet and grabbed changes of clothes for guys and girls.. There was no telling what kind of trouble would happen. I put the clothes in a bag and ran down the stairs behind Damien and we shifted into our wolves and i Carried the bag in my jaws and we followed the scent of the girls until we came across a bank and saw three other wolves.

Damien.. That black wolf.. Is an alpha..

I know Linda.. Stay close.. We need to find the girls first.

We howled and the alpha was alerted of our presence and I prayed the girls heard us.

Suddenly the three wolves dove into the water.

They were submerged for a minute until the red brown one was dragging an unconscious Lizzie onto the bank and the wolf dropped the scruff of Lizzie's neck and stepped back. He sat on his haunches growling occasionally until the sandy wolf emerged dragging Alejandra onto the bank by the scruff of her neck. He released her neck and went and sat by the red brown wolf.

Damien growled at the three
Wolves and I ran over to Lizzie and Alejandra and nudged them with my muzzle. Lizzie stirred slightly and I grabbed the scruff of her neck and dragged her over to where Damien was and laid her down at his feet. He nudged her a few more times licking her cheek anxiously while I trotted over to Alejandra and grabbed the scruff of her neck and dragged her away from the two wolves in front of us.

I laid her down beside Lizzie releasing her neck gently laying her head on the ground and licked her cheeks a couple times till she sat up and rolled over onto her belly. She was alert now.

I looked over the water and saw the black wolf still had not come above the water.

Alejandra where is Allyse?!

I said through our family mind-link.

I don't know mom she was holding on to me when we hit the water and then everything went black.. Oh dammit it's all my fault.. I swear if she isn't okay I'm going to -

She was Interrupted when the black wolf emerged from the water with an unconscious Allyse on his back and he was swimming doggy paddle style.

I ran to the edge to get my daughter from the wolf but the wolf growled viciously and walked past me and laid down on the ground with her still on his back. He rolled over slightly setting her on the ground as gently as possible and he nudged her face with his muzzle a couple times.

I whined uneasily.

Damien,. I want our daughter back. Do something!

Damien stepped forward but the big huge black wolf flattened his ears against his head and growled at Damien exposing all of his teeth and baring them at Damien.

Damien whined uneasily and retreated.

Rogue or no.. You NEVER defy an alpha.

Lizzie was coming to and she rolled over and got up and was growling at the wolves blocking the alpha and Allyse from us.

Graham's POV

I dove into the water when I saw the girls head under the water and prayed she was still alive. I don't know why but I felt protective of her suddenly. And u and to save her.

I swam under the water searching for her until I grabbed onto her jacket with my jaws and swam upward until we broke surface and as best I could draped the girl over my back and swam to the bank keeping her head above water. Knowing precious time was being spent. I didn't care about the wolves growling at my beta and third in command at the moment. All that mattered was that this girl was okay.

Once I got into shore i rose to my feet and walked behind my beta and third in command and laid down on my belly so I could easily but gently roll her off.

Two of the wolves that had popped up were trying to get near her so I snarled and growled viciously feeling my ears flatten against my skull. I bared my teeth at them showing all my teeth causing them to stop
And back up. But the white wolf and the red brown one from before wouldn't stop their growling.

I rolled my eyes and phased back into my human form. My hands were of more use right now. I laid my ear against the girls chest and heard no heart beat. When my hand brushed her skin by accident I knew I damn well was going to get that heart of hers beating. My existence depended on it.
