The blue sku upon their heads had not a single cloud. Having a clear sky around so many cloudy and raining souls was very hopeful.
No one would want to see it stom inside and outside of themselves.
The crowds grew bigger and louder. Cheering for a prince who promised to end their misery once and for all.
After Elmer's act of saving an innocent woman who was sentenced an execution for defending herself, everyone's expectations of him grew higher and he was ready to die trying to rise up to them.
A moment of silence fell upon them all, when an arrow clashed with a sword.
Hawk's eyes meeting those of the only one who could have been able to easily stop him.
Ivor's glaring eyes made Hawk put his bow away, realising that he shouldn't have lost his temper.
"Your majesty, you called for me"
The advisor kneeled down saying.
The king was still caught off guard. He was quiet for a few moment, he did not know why an old memory suddenly haunted him.
The tree he climbed on top of, even though Ivor said it was going to be a little scary.
A smile that encouraged him, a friendship he started long ago and for a second Leo could no longer remember where it all went down.
"Am sorry"
Hawk said, looking down.
Elmer patted his shoulder gently replying,
"It's alright but let's not do anything for now, we must be careful of each and every move we make might cost us the innocent lives who are cheering here for us"
The king snapped out of it while Ivor was still waiting for his orders.
"Ivor"
Leo called.
"Your majesty"
Ivor replied.
"I need you to go out there and get it over with, execute Elmer"
Leo's words have never sounded very intimidating before. Not a single light in his eyes, no hesitation nor doubt in his very clear order.
'What am I doing? how do I make it stop? am tired, please'
The advisor said nothing but his exhausted drained soul was reflected in his eyes.
"The people would definitely-"
Ivor tried coming up with something, the consequences they would have to face if he did what Leo just asked him to were never as small as the people breaking into the palace but as big as Lydia losing its one and only hope.
"I do not care, kill them all if necessary"
The king simply replied not allowing Ivor to speak no more, the man stood up and for a moment his disappointed eyes moved something inside Leo but not enough to get him back.
There was nothing left to say when Ivor stood looking down the scene of the loudly cheering crowds.
He never saw any sparkle in their eyes since the day his late king left them suddenly.
Ivor knew it would never get easier once Hiram was gone but he promised to face it all.
Elmer standing still, looking up at the walls he was once trapped inside.
Hawk who wished he could help the drained advisor whose eyes wander amongst each and every soul seeking for a way out.
And amongst the crowd, Ivor saw a familiar face making his way forward.
A short blonde hair and the light blue royal eyes.
Louis took a few steps forward, keep a distance between the crowds and himself while looking towards Elmer who finally turned his back to lock eyes with his cousin.
Holding Asher's sword between his hands tightly while pointing it at Elmer who looked very confused.
"Let's end this here Elmer"
Louis's voice shouted.
"What the h-"
Hawk was interrupted by Elmer.
"Let me take care of this"
The prince said while taking a few steps closer towards Louis cutting the distance short.
"What are you doing?"
Elmer's lower voice asked.
"I have to get into the palace, if you want to break in you will need me in there to guide you and the others"
Louis whispered.
"You are giving them a villain, these people they will think... horrible things of you even if we tell them after it all ends, it will take time for them to understand"
Elmer's worried tone was too obvious.
It was never easy for him to see Louis put himself in the villain act, he knew just how much Louis suffered as a child just for being the king's son, he knew he hated the thought of it and most of all he knew how kind hearted he was.
"I never care what others think of me, as long as the few people I like know who I am, it's fine"
Louis replied in a low tone.
"Now grab that sword of yours"
The second prince then shouted, running towards Elmer, clashing their swords together.
Leo was watching without saying a word so Ivor stood there praying it all ends well.
Even though he did not know what Louis was thinking, he did have faith in him.
Rose was standing alone in the forest next to the half cut off ropes, not knowing what to do.
She had a bad feeling about it since Alex usually comes back to her whenever a mission is over.
The voice inside her asked her to follow those worries and footsteps left behind.
In the middle of that green hill, the three crossed path running into opposite directions.
Alex was with the few guards who survived the attack while Evan and Mirai where on their own.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WE MUST GO BACK TO THE PALACE"
Mirai shouted.
While still rushing on his horse leaving them behind.
"What happened?"
Alex asked.
"The prince is already in Kardia"
Evan replied.
Alex understood immediately that they messed up because if that is true then Leo must be waiting for them to come around.
"Let's get going"
Evan said before they followed their leader back to the royal palace.
Their swords kept on clashing, matching their force and speed while talking about their plan.
"Send the hunter with Aylin to stop the four, they're probably heading here right now"
Louis said.
"Just Aylin and Venator?"
Elmer asked.
"Hawk too then, who else can we send?"
Louis did not know who else Elmer had in hands.
"Arthur and Amed are here too, I will make sure to send one of them too so that the fight is even"
The first prince replied.
"Good, now you know the plan you must wait for my signal, I would rather not let thing get messy"
Louis explained.
And Elmer nodded agreeing before stabbing him.
Louis dropped his sword, putting his hand around his bleeding waist, before he fell on both his knees then on the cold ground...
