Wonderland

Chapter 2

"T.. This is Alice" Sa- Cheshire stutters. The man spins around in his chair "The Alice" the man spoke again, this time his voice filling with curiosity. "Look I don't know why people keep calling me 'The Alice' but I-" She was cut off by the man holding his hand up. "Would you like some tea?" He asks politely gesturing to the tea sitting on the table, "Um.. No thank you" Alice replies in a small voice. The man stood up, beginning to make his way toward her. "A little while ago, say about 15 years." he begins "A small girl found her way here. Her name was Alice, little did we know she would ruin this place. So she was banished from here, never to be seen in wonderland again, of course the red king took over the throan--" "I'm sorry. Did you say Wonderland?" Alice interrups, the man sighs "Yes. Wonderland" "you mean the children's story?" She asks "Does this look like a children's story to you" He says abruptly.

"When Alice was banished the red king took over the throan and stole the crown from the white king, whom you simply must meet. He will get you out of here, but on your journey be careful. There are horrible things out there." He warned "Wait you're not coming with me?" Alice asked in a scared voice "by the way, who are you" the man simply laughed and said "my name is Dean but to everyone I'm known as the hatter. My brother you have already met. I cannot come this time but im all but a call away for when you need my help. Cheshire will be with you for now. You must go" he finished and walked back to his chair, taking a seat.

"Let's go" Cheshire said pulling at her arm. Alice felt upset knowing that hatter wasn't coming, unsure why. She had a sickening feeling in her stomach which grew with each step she took away from him. "So how did you and your brother end up here?" Alice asks curiously "Neither of us remember really. We were brought here as babies." He says thinking "have you ever thought of coming to my world?" Cheshire chuckles a little "Good heavens no. We haven't had a reason to. Why do you ask?" He says turning to the girl "Because you all sound like you don't like it here, so I thought, well if you could then why not leave?" Alice said looking where she was walking.

"Unfortunately, even if we wanted to leave we couldn't, no one goes in or out of that mirror without the stone of wonderland" Cheshire says sadly "So how am I to get home?" Alice says, as her steps come to a stop. Cheshire appears beside her "That's why we're going to the white king. He will find a way to get you home. I promise" he smiles and begins walking.

Alice begins to hear a rustling in the bushes beside her "Hello? Who's there?" She calls, after a few moments she begins to hear something growling. "Cheshire!" She calls and he appears at her side "what, what's going on?" He asks quickly "there's growling coming from the bushes" she says pointing to them, he stares at the bushes before beginning to push Alice "Alice. Run!" He yells slightly as she starts running as fast as she can. A large black animal appears out of the bush and begins chasing them "Cheshire what is that thing?" Alice screams as she runs, "it's the red kings hell hound. He must know you're here and be after you" He says throwing things to try to slow down the beast.

Alice begins to tire of running and begins getting dizzy, tripping over a tree branch, she falls "HATTER, HELP!" She calls but gets nothing, the beast slows to a walk and approaches her, nostrils flaring, eyes a deep red and it's coat jet black, standing to the size of a human, the animal pounces towards Alice, clenching it's jaw around her arm it begins to run, towards where she can only guess will be the red kings palace. Hoping she doesn't die before she gets there, she wonders what will be worse.
