○○○○Amanda's POV○○○○

So this is it. I'm doing something I never wanted to do. I'm packing my suitcase to leave. We're moving to Milton, it's a massive busy city about a 3 hour drive from Gatty.

My best friend Sally came to visit as soon as she heard the news . I'm so heartbroken to leave her, I'll miss her so much. We've been best friends for forever and I don't think I'll ever have another friend as amazing as her.

"Amanda Julie Wood! Get yourself down to the car this instant!" My mom yells to me from the garage.

"I'm coming mom!" I yell back. I slowly walk out of my now empty room. I remember all the memories I had in this house. My first birthday, first Christmas, my mom coming home from the hospital with James. I'm really gonna miss this place.

The drive to Milton was terrible. The car was packed full of bags and stuff that couldn't go into the moving van. James wouldn't stop annoying me, he was bugging me while I was trying to listen to my music.

We arrived at about 3pm on Saturday. As soon as the car stopped , I slammed open the door and jumped out . 3 hours in the same car with my brother is enough to make any girl crazy.

At least I knew I would be able to lie straight down on my bed and sleep because I'm super tired. The moving van arrived an hour before we did and unloaded everything with the help of a decorator my mom hired.

After calming myself done from the horror of being in the car with James I took a moment to actually observe our new house.

It was a peach double story house with huge glass windows and a balcony connecting all of the 2nd floor rooms. (picture of the house on the side)  It wasn't a tiny house but it definitely wasn't the size of a Barbie doll mansion, it was surprisingly just right.
Well ,as right as a new house can be.

Mom finally climbed out of the car after us waiting 10 minutes while she phoned dad to tell him that we arrived.

She walked to the front door with me and James following behind her, she then scrambled in her handbag for her keys to the house, after a terribly boring five minutes she realised she left them in the car.

She then hurriedly rushed back towards the car and fetched the keys. She then came back to the door and unlocked it .

''Welcome to your new house,'' mom says.

''Yay,''I say in a sarcastic voice.

Mom then opens the door and we are speechless.
