Chapter 14 : What the hell just happened?

○○○○Alex's POV of the party○○○○

This afternoon Amanda's mom Lauren phoned me and asked if I wouldn't mind if Amanda tagged along with me to the party I was going to. Obviously I didn't mind at all. At around 5 o'clock I walked over to her house and rang the doorbell.

"Hello Alex," Lauren said as she greeted me by the door," Amanda is just getting ready, so you're welcome to hang around until she's done."

"Hi Mrs woods, Ill just wait in the living room for now." I say and give her a smile.

"Call me Lauren," she smiles.

I walk to the living room and find James intently playing on his x-box.

"Hey dude, what you playing?" I asked curiously.

"Need For Speed," he says without even taking his eyes off the screen once.

"Cool, do you mind if I join in?" I ask

"Its cool," he says

I lean over and grab the extra controller and join the game. We play for about 5 minutes when Amanda interrupts us to ask if I'm ready.

We leave and hop into my car. We start driving to the party and about a few minutes into the drive she breaks the silence.

"So... who's party are we going to anyway?" she asks

I don't know why but I didn't want to tell her that it's my friends party, so I just told her that it is a random guy from our brother school.

We arrive at his house and I stop the car. She is about to climb out if the car when I grab a hold onto her arm to stop her from leaving.

"Amanda , just two things before we go in, first , be careful what you drink, you never know what stuff they put in these things , and second , try not to talk to a guy named Matt Sparks if he's here. He's the quarter back for our rival school The Orcs , and we don't mix with our rivals. Got it?" I say sternly to her.

She rolls her eyes at me," Whatever you say mom," She teases and climbs out of the car.

When we arrive at the front door I assume that Amanda can take care of herself while I have some fun. After meeting up with some girls, I found the guys hanging out in the garden and we talked about sports and the upcoming inter-schools game. Chase, who's one of my best buds, brings up the topic of girls.

"So Alex , who's the girl?" He asked and the guys all encouraged me to answer.

"What do you mean man? Why would you think there's a girl?" I say sounding confused .

"Come on man, you've been all cheery and in your dream world for the past week."

I sigh, knowing that they're not gonna drop the subject,

" Okay, okay, there is a girl but I doubt she even likes me at all, if anything, she totally hates me?" I say.

"What girl doesn't like you Alex, I mean come on, you're the quarter back and the mos popular guy at school. Come on dude, spill, what's her name?" I don't answer,

" Dude come on," They all chant.

"Fine, fine, its Amanda guys. She's just so pretty and she's super smart and cool." I say , thinking about her.

" But don't say anything because she definitely doesn't feel the same, I know it." They all nod and agree not to tell her. I walk off inside to grab something to eat.

When I come back outside I notice Chase talking to Amanda on the grass, jeez he better pray he didn't tell her or else he's totally dead to me. He walks back over to us.

Chase notices the look on my face, he chuckles and says, "Dude , don't worry, I didn't tell your chick, but she is kinda angry at you for ditching her and wants to get revenge for it."

I was very confused because I had no idea what she is going to do for revenge. Chase nudges me,

"Dude, look over there," he glances over to where Amanda is walking . She stops when she reaches a group of guys. I couldn't make out any of them but carried on watching to see what she would next.

She starts speaking to him while she is twirling her hair around her finger. Just looking at her doing that with some guy makes my blood boil with jealousy. She talks for a while then slowly glances over her shoulder to look at me. I stare at her face and she gives me a smile, she then turns back to the guy and....

She starts kissing him???!!!!!!

What?!?!

I can't believe that she just did that as revenge!!

I need to figure out what asshole is stealing my girl. I decide that we need to leave and I storm up to them.

I grab her arm and yank her away from him. And out of everyone , she chose to get revenge by using Matt frikin Sparks. I can't believe her. I look at him and he just smirks at me. I so badly wanted to punch him in the face but I held myself back for Amanda's sake, not that she really deserves it now.

I see her drinking something but I just pull her all the way to the car. I sit her in the passenger seat and I then climb into the car.

"Amanda, what was that! I told you to stay away from Matt, he's bad news." I yell at her. She then surprises me by giggling.

"You know what's bad news Awex ?" She says poking me in the nose, "someone stole my unicorn and now I cant fly home," she says pouting.

I sigh and put my hand on my face, " Amanda what did you have to drink?"

"Um... I fink it was a Red bull and some random guys drink?" I sigh again and start the car.

On the way home I see that shes passed out in the car. I realise that there's no way I can take her home to her mom if she's passed out. I quickly think of a plan and pull out my phone, I sms Lauren.

Hi Lauren,

Amanda's phone died and she just wanted to let you know that she is gonna stay over at Ashley's house. She will come home early tomorrow so that she can get ready for school.

I sent the message even though it is kind of a lie, but it's not a complete lie because she is staying at someone's house but it's not Ashley's.

I pull up in the driveway of my house. I climb out of the car and walk around to the passenger side. I open the door and I get a fright because she is totally drunk so she just half falls out the car.

"Amanda, please just come up to bed, I can't carry you the whole way." I say to her as I try to pick her up.

"Go away grandma, I'm trying to swim," she says half drunk.

I laugh at her and drag her inside. I'm lucky that the rest of my family are out! Otherwise this would be quite awkward. I walk down the passage with Amanda wobbling in my arms as I attempt to carry her. Seeing as all the bedrooms are upstairs besides mine, I decide that she'll have to stay in mine because there is no way that I'm going to try take her upstairs.

I push open my bedroom door and slowly pull Amanda in and place her gently on my bed.

"Alex , will you stay here with me? " She asks.

I sigh because I know that as much I want to stay, she's drunk and probably doesn't really mean it.

"Please Alex, " she whines.

I sigh and sit down next to her. She falls asleep in the next few minutes and I leave with me pillows and blanket to sleep on the couch.
