"No! No!" an pair of identical twins cry as their father drags them out of the house. The little girl clings onto her father's legs, begging to be let go. The man's hand falls to strike the child, and in her weak state, making her collapse, unconscious.

The wife, their own mother, looks at them with absolute pure hate and disgust. "Dad! Mom! No! D-Don't leave us here! Yumiko's hurt!" the boy pleas, wrapping his sister in his arms, looking up to their parents.

"Get out of here." his dad seethes, tossing two duffel bags their way. "What more do you need? You have food and clothes in there! Don't come back, you're both worthless!" their mother hisses, glaring daggers at them.

"We're sorry!" he screams as the door shuts close.

The tears begin to flow from his eyes as he stares helplessly on the door, trying to knock on it, but not letting his sister fall out of his arms. "Mom...? D-Dad...?" he whispers, wiping away tears.

"Yumi... Yumi, wake up... Yumi?" grouping the two bags together, he lays his sister atop the bed made of bags, trying to give his weak arms a rest. "Yumi! Wake up!"

The boy trembles quietly but nonetheless makes a move. Despite his aching arms, the young boy picks up his light, weak sister, slinging her onto his back onto a piggy back. Hauling the thankfully light bags, he sets off, making sure his sister didn't fall off his back as he tried to walk out the neighborhood.

As he walked down the almost empty streets, the very few people walking by gave him strange looks, but never bothered to help. He trudged by, looking for any sort of shelter. It soon began to rain, and with the cold drops of water, he cried again, cold and weak.

The young, raven haired boy finally found some shelter in an alley which had a tarp hanging off above it. With a tired breath, he places the bags down, once more, making a small cushion like bed. Although tired and in need of rest himself, he places his younger sister onto the bags, sitting beside her cross-legged as he awaited her awakening.

"Come on, Yumi... You need to wake up."

The next morning, the boy awoke, lying against a wall as he was watching over his sister last night. She was still asleep.

The boy was careful not to awake her as he opened a bag on her side, trying to look for something to drink, until a man passing by on his phone spotted them in the alley. He cuts his call and approaches the boy and his sister cautiously.

The boy was alarmed, wrapping his sleeping sister in his arms as the man approaches. "Don't touch my sister, please! Take our stuff, just don't hurt us!"

"I don't want your stuff... Are you okay? Did your parents leave you here?" he asks quietly, trying not to look intimidating.

"I... They kicked us out of the house last night."

"They what?! Well... I can let you stay at my house if you like? You can make some friends." he offers kindly, gesturing to his sister. "We can also take her to a clinic."

Despite the strange offer, the boy had no choice, especially if he could take his sister to the clinic. "A-Alright..."

The man picks up their bags as the boy picks up his sister in another piggyback.

The man brought them to a mansion and the boy was shocked. "We stay here...?" "For now... I can ask my... dad."

The man leads them inside. "What's your name, mister?" "Just call me Ryo for now. But..." he opens a door, "Boss? I think I might have some candidates."

"Let them in."

The man pulls him inside, along with his sleeping sister. "Ryo, I'm not in the mood for jokes. Where are the candidates?" "Them sir, look, they're young, and this boy managed to carry his sister and two bags by himself. They're twins, I can only suppose the girl is the same."

"I'll think about it. Go get them started with the training and we'll see sooner..." "Alright, let's go. Bring your sister. I have to give you something."

"Wait! My sister needs to go to a clinic... She could be sick!"

"Fine, let's go. Follow me."

The man brought the girl to the clinic, where she soon awoke, and the twins found themselves following the man to...

"Welcome to our shooting range!"

"S-S-Shooting... Range?"

"I'm sorry guys... But we needed to find some more people."

"For what...?!"

"To be assassins."

"The mission is done, father." the two say in unison. "Good job, Yukio, Yumiko. It's time to finally join, hm?"

"Yes, we suppose." they say in unison once more. "Go over to Ryo, he'll take you in."

The two obediently nod, walking out the office to look for the said man, who was surprisingly waiting right outside the door.

"He said we're ready."

"Perfect, follow me then." the young man grins devilishly and leads them into a room.

But even though their life was completely not normal, the twins could only think one thing.

"It doesn't really matter what happens to me. As long as my twin is safe, is all that matters. We only have each other."
