Your first date with Ian was tonight, you were really excited.
You slowly stood towards the mirror.
You brushed the bruises on your neck with your hand whilst you were removing your shirt, allowing one single tear to fall down your cheek.
The scars from where he cut you were visible once you lifted your shirt sleeve.
You didn't want Ian to see them.
You heard the door slam, Alex was home early...
You ran downstairs as fast as you could.
"well, if it isn't the cheating bitch!" shouted Alex.
"You know, you should never leave your phone at work when your expecting a phone call!"
Tears were streaming down your face as you stepped back against the wall.
"Don't act as if you're the victim here, you're the cheat."
"You're lucky I ever put up with you."
Suddenly, Alex's hand flew up and smacked you across the face. Before you could move, his other hand grabbed your arm, adding to your collection of purple bruises.
He grabbed a piece of the mirror he smashed this morning and cut you across your face.
Before you could process anything you heard a loud bang. you opened your eyes to see Ian stood against the wall fuming, holding Alex by the collar.
His fist flew into his face, making a loud crack on impact as his nose broke.
"Do you think it's fun to beat up women?!"
"answer me, you bastard!" Ian yelled whilst yet again punching him in the stomach.
"IAN, please leave him, he's not worth it!"
tears were streaming down your face, making your cut sting.
Ian put him down as the police began to arrive.
Ian kneels down beside you and takes you into his arms.
"He'll never hurt you again, I promise. I'll protect you beautiful."
"I love you y/n" Ian said as he gently laid his lips on yours.
"I love you too Ian."
He gently rocked you back and forth in his arms.
