Introduction

 Annie, Catty and Mattie are best friends that grew up in the 60's and 70's. Their adventures began when seven year old Annie moved into the neighborhood. Together they played a dangerous game of follow the leader, Rock, Paper, Scissors was the deciding factor of who went first.

The game changed, as they got older, boys, cigarettes, lager and more. Their destiny was defined by their very different upbringings. There was evil around two of them, one escaped after 10 years of an abusive marriage, one became a slave to a horrible rape that happened when they were 16, one left behind the darkness and found her dreams.

Abusive husbands, Columbian drug lords, under cover agents, the FBI and long prison sentences are all lurking in the shadows. Lives are turned upside down and one of us will fight to keep our children and make a new life for ourselves. One will rebel and tear the lives of her parents herself and her children apart.
