Hey, I'm Cheyenne. Just your average teenage girl, living in an average sized house with an average family. We live as south as you possibly can get of Canada, in a little town named LaSalle. I have an average best friend named Hanna who lives an average sized house with an average family. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Pretty boring right? Yeah, exactly. So I came up with this crazy idea that we should leave this boring lifestyle and continue our lives somewhere else. Somewhere not-so average, with not-so average people. Our escape to paradise would be Santa Monica, California.
*Chyenne's POV*
"How am I supposed to tell him?" I've been struggling to find a way to tell my boyfriend of 5 years, Landon, that I'm moving to Santa Monica with my best friend to go to university. "Just call him." Hanna suggests. "No. I need to tell him in person." I state.
C-L : Hey babe, can you please come over ASAP. I have important news.
L-C : Sure thing. I'll be there in 10.
C-L : Okay see ya. love you <3
L-C : I love you too. <3
"Okay, he's on his way over." I say nervously "Don't worry," Hanna says rubbing my shoulder "you got this." I hear the doorbell ring and I begin to get nervous. As I open the door I'm greeted by a smiling Landon. I try to put out a fake smile, but I have no idea if it fooled him. "Hey babe." He says embracing me in a big hug. "Hey." I say quietly. We walk into my room hand-in-hand to meet Hanna. I sit on the edge of my bed with my head down. Landon sits next to me. "Hey Hanna." he says. "Aye boy."
"What'd you want to talk about sweetheart?" Landon asks in his sweet comforting voice. God I'm going to miss this boy so much. "Well...um...Hanna and I are...um." I look down at my feet as a single tear falls from my eye. "Hey, hey, hey baby don't cry," he says kneeling between my legs studying my face with concern, "whatever it is you can tell me. I'm here for you and I always will be." I look him in the eyes and whisper, "But I won't be here for you." That's all I could say before I burst into tears. He picks me up and cradles me like a baby rubbing small circles on my back trying to comfort me. Nothing can stop my tears now. I cry and cry into his shoulder.
Finally I calm down a bit. I pull away and look at him "Hanna and I are going to university in Santa Monica." I simply state. We just sit in each others arms until Landon finally says something. "I think we can handle long-distance. Do you?" He questions. "Yeah, we're good."
He leans in and kisses me passionately.
