*Sammy's POV*
Hanna, Nate and I were talking about Cheyenne's progress from the other night while she was asleep. "ARE YOU SERIOUS? YOU ACTUALLY GOT HER TO TALK!!" Hanna yells. "Yeah." I say with a huge smile. Hanna and Nate both high five me. Just after, Cheyenne walks out with her headphones in to grab and apple. Hanna just looks at me with pure shock. I shrug with a smile.
*Later that afternoon*
*Nate's POV*
Today was the day that I planned on asking Hanna out on a date. She was in the living room watching TV. I stand in front of the TV so she couldn't see the screen. "Nate, please move." she asks annoyed. I ignore her and smile. "Nate." She says sternly. "I'm trying to watch 'Teen Wolf' MOVE!" "Hanna?" I ask. "What?" She mumbles with a frown. "Will you go out to dinner with me tonight" I ask her hopefully. "Oh my god, YES!" She yells, jumping up to hug me. "Dress fancy." I whisper in her ear.
*Hanna's POV*
It was about 5:30pm so I decided to start getting ready for my date with Nate. I shower, wash, blow dry, then curl my hair. I put on my makeup and accessories. I wore a white dress that stopped just above my knees. The solid fabric was strapless but had see through, lace, long sleeves. With nude heels. I walk into the living room and Nate's waiting for me on the couch. As soon as he sees he his jaw drops. "You look beautiful." I blush at my feet.
*Sammy's POV*
Hanna and Nate leave for their date so it's just Cheyenne and I. I figured I would make something for Cheyenne and I to eat. I boil noodles for pasta -Hanna told me that's her favorite- I'm gonna see if I can get her to eat. There was no pasta sauce so I put the cooked noodles in the fridge and walk down the hall to Cheyenne's room. "Hey, I'm going to the store. There's no pasta sauce left." I made sure to say 'pasta'. She just looks and nods at me. I always wondered what she did here when nobody else was home. I walk out leaving her door open a crack and drive to the grocery store.
*Cheyenne's POV*
Only Hanna knows, but I like to sing. I don't like my voice so I never sing for people. She always tells me I'm good and should sing for people, but i don't hear it. I only sing if I'm alone or with Hanna. We've recorded a few covers together but we never showed anyone. When I'm home alone I'll play music and sing along. As soon as Sammy leaves I crank music through my speaker and begin to sing.
*Hanna's POV*
I really hope Sammy can bring Cheyenne back to her normal self. But I have to stop worrying and let loose a little because I'm on a date... with NATE! He takes me to this really fancy restaurant in downtown Santa Monica. He reserved a corner booth at the back of the restaurant. The waiter poured us champagne, there were candles and rose pedals everywhere. I was really surprised. I never pictured Nate as a romantic.
*Sammy's POV*
I quietly walk in the front door with the pasta sauce and hear music blasting from Cheyenne's room. I peek in the crack of her door and see she's singing. She's great. She was singing 'Best Mistake' by Ariana Grande.
"Cause if the water dries up, and the moon stops shining. Stars fall, and the world goes blind. Boy, you know I'll be saving my love for you. For you." She sings. "Cause you're the best mistake I've ever made. But we hold on, hold on. There's no pot of gold in the rainbows we chase. But we hold on, hold on."
I decide to join in and rap the Big Sean part.
"I guess times wasting tick tocking, lip locking. How do we keep the feelings fresh? How do we zip lock it."
She looks at me confused and surprised but I continue.
"Wear your heart up on your sleeve so watch out for pick pockets. I guess to go the distance, we might need to pit stop it. Hold up."
A smile appears on her face. I slowly walk over and sit on the edge of her bed and continue to rap.
"I know love can be a beach with no shore. I done count to 10, lost my temper and went back to 4. I know sometimes it's hard to realize I'm the man that you need. I had a dream we branched out started a family tree."
I reach out to grab her hand. Trying to show that I'm singing this to her.
"And I feel like that everything we do is overdue. You ask why I love your mom so much? Cause she's an older you. I wish that you were happy. I guess that's one thing I should be providing. Ain't number twos, we both ones of ones and we the oddest couple only human. Except you, you a goddess. Only lying to you when I lie it down, just being honest. When you start as friends it's hard to say you're never going back. If I'm not the one, then I'm the best mistake you ever had."
I kiss her hand when I finish rapping. She blushes and looks down. "You're a really good singer." I say, breaking the silence. "Thanks." She says quietly, with bright red cheeks. "Nate and I sing and rap, maybe you could preform at one of our shows in a couple of months." I ask, with a smile, slightly squeezing her hand a little tighter. "Sammy, I don't sing in front of people. I'm sorry i just can't." She says. "But...y-you just sang in front of me?" I said, confusion spread across my face. "I didn't know you were there." As soon as she said that my face showed sadness. She's an amazing singer and I want people to know that.
*Hanna's POV*
After our romantic dinner, Nate takes me to the beach to watch the sunset. When we get there Nate gets out and runs to my side of the car and opens the door for me. "You're such a cheeseball." I say holding his hand. As we sit watching the sunset, I feel Nate's eyes burning a hole through me. I turn my head to meet his eyes. His eyes move from mine to my lips. He slowly leans in and places his lips to mine. They fit perfectly, like puzzle pieces. His lips felt like clouds. He pulls away and stares at me again. I lean my head on his shoulder -his arm wrapped around me- and continue watching the sunset. It was so peaceful. Once the sun sets we head back home. We walk in the door and hear music blasting from Cheyenne's room. I quietly walk down the hallway and peek in her room without her noticing. What I see takes my breathe away. She's smiling and laughing. I don't go in because I don't want to chase her away again. I sneak back out to meet Nate with a huge smile. "Nate, she was smiling and LAUGHING." I say excitedly. I jump into his arms and laugh into his shoulder.
*Sammy's POV*
I sat with Cheyenne in her room and she actually spoke. We sang together and I made a few jokes which made her laugh. "I'm tired, I think I'm gonna go to bed." She says. "Yeah, same." I reply. I start setting up on the floor when I hear a faint voice coming from her bed. "Uh, Sammy." "Yeah?" I reply. "Um...You can stay in my bed if you want." She says nervously. "Are you sure?" I question. "Yeah." She says more confident. "Okay." I climb into her bed with her. She faces the wall and I face the other wall. Within minutes we're fast asleep.
