"Courtney don't worry you will be fine." Harry said to me as the train coasted along the tracks taking us to Hogwarts. It was my first year and to say I nervous was an understatement. "Yeah don't worry about it. It could be worse ya know" Ron piped up after a moment of silence. "How so?" I asked curiously. "You could be stuck in Slytherin with malfoy" my eyes widened, harry had told me about him. "Ronald!! Stop that you'll scare the poor girl. Don't worry Courtney you'll get into Gryffindor" Hermonie said with a warm smile. I hope she's right.

"Slytherin!" The sorting had said and I felt my heart stop. No. I gave my brother and his friends a look and they sighed as I joined the Slytherin table. "Look here, seems we have another potter " Draco says with a smirk on his face. "Shove off Malfoy" I said and almost felt guilty when he frowned but waved it off.

A few weeks later and draco stopped me in the hallway. "Courtney can I ask you something?" He said stepping out of the way holding on to my wrist so I couldn't escape, oddly enough I didn't want to. "Sure what is it?" I sighed. He's been acting really off lately, he seems to be more nice than usual. "Uhm would you uhm maybe like to be my girlfriend?" He asked after a moment and my eyes widened. "Uh uh sure" I said flustered and gave him a small smile. "Can I go now I don't want to be late?" I asked and he smiled "of course. I'll see ya later." He pecked my cheek and went the opposite way. "What what's that about?" Harry asked. Oh he must have caught up with me. "Uh i have a boyfriend now?" I stated and it came out as more of a question. Harry looked at me and shook his head before walking off.

"Please my father really wants to meet you Courtney" draco pleaded. It was almost Christmas time and he wanted me to come back with him and meet his dad. "Draco I don't know. What if he doesn't like me?" He shook his head "Nonsense he will love you" i rolled my eyes but played along anyway.

"Hello Mr malfoy. My name is Courtney" I said and he looked between draco and me. "Draco this is the girl you talk about?" He asked and draco nodded. "Yes father it is." "Nice to meet you Courtney." He gave a small smile. "You as well sir." Draco was by my side, an arm around my waist as he leaned in to whisper in my ear "I told you he would like you."
