(Shane's POV)

My hands shake as I touch Ali's pale face. Her hands lay still beside her sides and her chest heaves up and down. The doctor said the bullet wounds will heal nicely since they pulled out all six bullets. She shouldn't have any scars or problems doing anything, just needs rest. I don't understand why she keeps getting attacked like this. I want to keep her safe, yet I keep failing her.
I kiss her temple and frown at her state... "I love you baby... I'll be here if u need me... I got to go watch liam and Anne... Bye baby." I turn after giving her another gentle kiss and leave the pack clinic.

I get to our little cabin and meet jace and lila.. they meet me at the door with my babies . They cry and reach out for me, I know they are in pain because their mother is in a horrible condition . They can feel that their mother isn't well and they don't understand that she may not get out of the coma that the doctors put her under for recovery. I take them into my arms and kiss them both on the cheek.

I'm here for them no matter what I'll make sure that they are safe from anyone that tries to hurt them and take them from me. I am their father and that is what I tend to be. I want to tell them everything, but at this age they wouldn't understand anything I tried to explain. I know that I will do anything even if I have to die for them.

The phone inside the cabin begins to ring and I quickly handover Liam and anne to jace and lila. Once I get to the phone I pick it up and ask " what is it?" The person on the other end says "nothing major just your Luna is awake and we need you here.. She's not herself..." Hearing the panic in his voice, the phone drop out of my hand and I quickly run out the door jogging as fast as i could to the Clinic with my pack mates close behind me with my babies.

I rush into the clinic and see Ali's wolf growling and clenching her fangs at the male doctor. I pull him away and stand in front of her "ali.... Ali look at me." Her eyes latched with mine and she growled.. I laugh a little seeing she has so much energy and somehow woke from the heavy induced coma they had her under "your spunky after getting shot... Listen calm down." I lower my town a bit but she doesnt take the nice calm order. She stands tall infront of me and her amber eyes burn into my eyes 'No'. I hear her voice shimmer into my mind 'what? U tell me your alpha and your mate no?' She nodds at me and grunts 'move out of my way, mate.' She puts more sass into the last word... I growl and change into my wolf jumping on her putting my teeth around her throat in a gentle but rough fashion. 'Better calm your ass down my precise Luna or I will punish u and it will not be nice either.. Your hurt and, your being a careless fool' she snaps at me 'I am not being careless I was just shot I don't trust anyone with sharp objects, and that man had a knife in his hand bout to cut me open.' I glance at the doctor who had dropped a scaple on the floor. 'What were u doing?' The mans eyes widened 'nothing sir just taking out one of the bullets in her shoulder they didn't see' I look at Ali's shoulder where some blood was oozing out and puss.. I sit ontop of her and order her to shift, unable to fight me anymore her body shimmers and her wolf disappeared leaving her bare naked body... I growl at her as I shift too naked "get back on that bed and sit still while he takes that damn bullet out!" She pouts and lays on the bed. I covers her body with a gown and watch the doctor finished what he started, and then cleans out the wound from infection.. I don't mean to snap at her but she's not in the best shape to shift and get all crazy.

Home two months later.........

(Ali's POV)
My head beats verouciously and I grind my teeth together in frustration. Liam Cry's out and so does Anne once again, I growl under my breath and quickly get up to get them food. While I'm bout to give Anne her bottle Shane comes in and takes the bottle from my hands.

"What did I say?" I look at him and pop out my hip glaring at the back of his head "don't feed babies.. Stay in bed.... Don't take bath without your help... Blah blah blah....." He turns around and finishes "don't make your own food and don't try putting words into sentence's because you don't make sense..."

I growl and he puts his finger in my face "Ali that is not lady like." I grunt "just because I have been in bed for the past two months does not make me incapable of speaking or taking care of our babies... Or myself for that matter." He lays the sleeping Anne down and turns to me " listen baby boo you need sleep and until the doctor confirms that the infection in your shoulder is gone u shouldn't be up, just be happy you got and have had a break from your motherly duties...

And soon you will be doing wifey duties so don't sweat it honey alright?. Now get back in bed." His rough huskly voice makes me shiver and wifey duties? I'm not his wife.... Yet.... Oh my god?! We were picking out my dresses before I got taken... How did I not remember? I get back into our bed and rub my temples confused and dazed... 'I'm supposed to get married....'

I smile and lay back "were supposed to get married." Sighing I let sleep over take my body as I feel safe again in our little cabin...
