Chapter 3, A Memory:

Fawn's P.O.V.

(IMPORTANT: She has not said the pledge yet, just thought I would put that out there. Also, I understand she was younger when Jack passed, but I have to change ages, so now she is only a little bit younger than Jack, in my story Jack is 18 and she is 16.)

I was led through a portal and arrived at a small apartment. It wasn't dingy like I expected, the walls were a soft red color, and the carpets were a baize, creamy color. We were in what looked like a living room, there was a black couch. Right in front of the black couch is a grass coffee table, in front of that was a mounted flat screen t.v.

Next to the t.v. was the door, which we were currently standing by. On the other side of me there was a open dining room and kitchen, on the other side of the small dining table was a washer and dryer.

Straight ahead of me is a small hallway with a large bedroom to the left, on the right there was a small bathroom and further straight was another bedroom, but not as big as the first.

After I got finished exploring I sat down on the couch making myself at home while thinking about my escape plan. It is such a small house, I have no clue how I am gonna escape. Maybe while he is asleep, why am I here anyways, I don't find myself that interesting. What about Jack? Is he looking for me right now? Did they find a way to get out of the cages? Why does Rixon seem so familiar?

I am pulled from my thoughts and surged back into reality. I felt someone sit to me and turn on the t.v., I unfurled my legs from my chest and sat up straight. I gained a sudden burst of confidence and decided to ask the question that has been stuck in my head since I got here, "Rixon, why did you take me?"

He tears his glare away from the television and looks me in the eye, "I," he pauses trying to think of the right words to say, "I just felt drawn to you Doe. I don't know what it is about you, but I just had to take you with me." I look down slightly blushing trying to avoid his gaze, he grabs my hands and lifts my head up to meet his eyes with his other hand. If Jack saw this right now he would freak out. Something in my head tells me to forget about him, and just live in the moment.

People say eyes are the window to the soul, I saw they are the window to the mind, heart, and soul. I stare into his eyes and they look like they are swallowed in confusion. There are hints of care, hope, and something else, I can't tell what it is.

The blue orbs that are in front of me pull me into a daze, it is like I can't look away. He pulls me closer so that I am slightly leaning next to him. I get so lost in them I don't notice him leaning closer towards me, soon we get close enough that I could feel his warm breath fanning my face. My heart starts racing and my pulse is throbbing with anticipation, a single thought running through my head, 'Is he going to kiss me?' I was about to open my mouth to protest when suddenly he closes the gap, our lips mold together like they were made for each other, he deepens the kiss and I respond accordingly.

All of a sudden a memory is pulled in front of my mind, it was from my past. I was outside underneath a tree looking up at the beautiful stars. I was sitting on a small hanging bench attached to the tree, the bench was painted ivory with vines wrapped around it.

I look down to see what I was wearing, it was an ivory dress, it when to the ground and left a small train laying on the ground. The top of the dress was as simple as the bottom, it was sleeveless, and had a small bit of beading. There was also a small blue sash around my waist. (Picture on the side) I wrack my brain trying to find out what was going on, it was as if I had no control over my body and had to live the memory in order to get out of it.

I hear footsteps from behind the tree, but continue staring at the stars until I feel someone sit next to me. I reach up the smooth my hair some and find that I am wearing a little crown of ivy. I look next to me and find that it is none other than Rixon. What is he doing in my memory? I hear a sharp intake of air suggesting that I am not alone, I wonder if he is watching the memory too. The old Rixon was holding a guitar and before I could get any further into the memory, I am suddenly pulled out.

It seems that while I was experiencing the memory one of us broke the kiss. Rixon has a shocked look on his face, so I am guessing that he saw it too.

"Do you... I mean... we.... we knew each other!" I say confusedly. "Did... Did we like each other." I stand up and start pacing, I mean why would he let me remember every thing but that. I walk into the spare room leaving a shocked looking Rixon on the couch. I walk over to the spare room and open the curtains to gaze at the moon. I begin thinking, does he have any plants here?

"Shadows! Do you have any plants!" I yell, finally getting over the shock of the memory and the situation at the workshop. I walk back to the living room and see him back to normal and watching t.v. I walk around the tiny apartment and see that he doesn't so I decide to just lay down and go to sleep.

Before I walk back to the guest room, I walk over to Rixon, lean down and whisper into his ear with as much venom as I could muster, "Next time you call me doe you might end up missing your 'flashlight'." I lean up and give him a sweet smile and add, "Be careful who you underestimate." With that said I walk back to the guest room leaving a trail of soft, green moss under my feet. I make the bed disappear and create a small bed of moss and tall soft grass. Once I finish with that I shift into a wolf and crawl onto the bed to sleep.

Sorry that the chapter is a bit short, please let me know if you like it or not! I am trying to make it a non-cliche type of story. Who likes the twist I put in there, I was originally going to do something else but things never go according to plan.

It looks like Fawn has some fire in her! (Not like that.) I think her true colors are starting to show.

*Earns glares from Fawn*

It was a compliment! Sheeesh!

Anyways, vote, fan, or comment if you want!
