The town's station was small and rarely used. Its rustic look matched the rest of the town's style. What would my grandfather think? Raven's grandfather had taught him almost every he knew. Well everything about the wild lifestyle. He had believed that Raven was destined for greatness. Grandpa Harold use to tell him he was strong and he would break through anything.

Principal Turner stalked over to him, paused. Then spoke,

"They are ready for you." Raven wavered whether to go in or not.

"Can I have another minute please?"

"Make it quick, they don't have all day"

Phew. That was a close one. Before anyone could notice Raven dashed out of the station and around the building. He leaned his hand against the wall, bent his head down and gagged. Raven had been there no longer than two minutes before he heard someone calling for him,

"RAVEN! RAVEN! Where are you?"

Raven cleaned himself up with a sleeve before heading back around the building.

"I'm here, I just needed some fresh air. Let's get back in so we can get this over with."

However Raven knew better than to think it would be over so soon. Principal Turner waited outside as he wasn't a suspect or family and therefore wasn't allowed into the interview room no matter how much Raven pleaded. The interview room reminded Raven of Principal Turner's office. Dark and gloomy with only a slither of light.

The sheriff of the town wasn't very well known and so it made it uncomfortable for Raven. The last time he was seen was when there were some drunk teens from an outside city getting up to mischief in their town, which was very rare.

"On behalf of the station and the town council I would just like to say, I'm sorry for your loss." The sheriff said looking mournful.

"Um...what? What are you talking about? I'm pretty sure you got the wrong person mate" feeling confused and lost.

"Rosie never told you....." sounding sorry for Raven.

"What would my grandma neglect to tell me?" Raven started to believe he was being pranked. Standing up he looked at the sheriff and said,

"I don't know what sort of prank your pulling, but I don't appreciate it" Raven turned to leave and was stopped by one word.

"It's your grandfather" Raven whirled around and glared at the sheriff.

"What about him, he's traveling America for work"

"I'm sorry Raven but he was in town the night of the fire. The same night your grandfather went missing. I'm guessing your grandmother was supposed to tell you, then came the fire."

"Argh. What is wrong with you? Why would you play a prank on someone like that? It's a disgrace." Raven wouldn't let his mind think like that. But the more he did the more lost he became. The night of the fire was a blur to him. Raven truly believed that his grandpa Harold was traveling the world like he was told.

"I'm sorry but you should ask Rosie she knows more than I do. While you were at home yesterday, your grandma came by the station to give us a statement as to what she saw that night."

"And I'm guessing you want me to do the same?" Raven said sounding angry.

"Well we hoped you would. Although it might take a while to remember."

Raven just couldn't take anymore so he decided to leave, as he pulled at the door knob it wouldn't budge. He turned and demanded he got a lawyer.

"Why would you need a lawyer, we never suspected you of anything we just needed some answers" the sheriff said sounding suspicious.
