"He.. what?" Amberly sat there in shock, a confused expression painted her porcelain face.
"He came into my bedroom last night and put a damp rag with some kind of liquid that makes you pass out, over my mouth. I don't remeber how I got to the room we were in. I didn't know where we even were. It was dark, and there was a musky scent, mixed with cigarette smoke. There was one light bulb hanging from a wire in the celling, illuminating the room with a yellow glow." I shut my eyes trying to remeber the rest. It all happend in a blur, every detail was lost in my memories and I had to fish them out.
"How did you escape?" She sqeaked out.
"I don't really remeber, but he left a knife there, so I untied myself. The next thing I can place, was I was sprinting through the halls and I saw him coming down the hall so I ran into an unlocked room and locked the door. I can still heat his voice, booming and loud, once he noticed I was no longer there. I took my chance and ran to the double doors, he screamed again, and I bolted. Then I came here and now I'm telling you what happend." I was almost in tears, thinking, if I hadn't made it out, where would I be now?
"Oh Presley. I'm so so sorry! You should have never gone through that. Lots of people have been in your shoes but not lived to tell about it. Except to. You, and another." Her face saddened and a sweep of fear streaked her face.
"Who was the second?"
Silence.
"Amberly? Who was the second one?"
More silence.
"Amb-"
"Me."
"You? How come you never told me about him, or said something at least?" I was pacing the room now, heavy steps across the bamboo wood flooring, echos bouncing here and there.
"I didn't think he would do it again. I was the last one. After I escaped, he stopped, because the fear that someone would find out was to much. He wouldn't make it in Hell. And he knows it. If the council found out about this, he would be vanished to The Wind. A place you never want to be in. It's just white and gray and black mists, and you just sit there, or walk till you forget everything, and all." A small tear rolled down her cheeks and dropped to the floor with a silent splat.
"Amberly, it's ok. You didn't know. And nows that it's happened again, we need to stop him. Amber, we have to tell the council. Now! We need to stop him from ruining innocent lives!" I started for the door but a petite hand grabbed my wrist. Amberly stood behind me now shaking her head slowly, tears rolling down her face.
"We cant Presley. I cant."
She let go of my hand, and walked to the vanity in the corner of the foom. I could see her face through the mirror, and she could see mine. I read hers. It said fear.
"Why not? What if he does it again? We can't let him do it again, we need to stop him and now!!!" I raised my voice, trying to put my point across, but she wouldn't listen.
"Presley please don't do that. I couldn't live with myself if we turned Elliot in."
"Unbelievable. He kidnapped us! KIDNAPPED! Get it through your head that he could possibly try this stunt again. Why are you defending him anyway?" She stayed quiet now. Lost in thought perhaps.
"Huh? Why do you defend him? He killed people for his own pleasure. He kidnapped girls and boys, a killed them, not to mention you and me getting taken. Stop defending a murderer, he doesn't matter. He's a killer!!" I didn't mean to yell at her, but I was so crossed with her. We need to turn him in but she's not listening to me! Why the hell is she even fucking defending a MURDERER?!!
