Chapter Eight: A Day Out

-The next day, 12:30PM-

Kaylei's PoV

We just finished visiting Courtney.

Now Michele and Sarah are taking me somewhere. I really didn't want to go. I mean I love them both, but I just walk to be alone right now. You know what I'm saying? I guess it's not gonna happen. Especially with Austin or Trentin checking up on me every five fucking seconds. Ugh just leave me alone people!

"Where are we going?" I ask for the millionth time.

'You'll see," Sarah says for the millionth time

I sigh.

"Don't worry Kaylei. You'll have fun," Michele says.

I shrug.

-15min later-

The car finally stops. We all get out.

We're at a salon.

I sigh.

"Come on it'll be fun!" Sarah exclaims pulling me in.

Michele follows us in.

We get our nails done, our hair done, well, we pretty much do everything that we can while we're there.

When we finish it's 5:30.

"Shall we go to an early dinner?" Michele asks.

"Yeah, I'll tell the guys to meet us at Fudruckers," Sarah says pulling out her phone.

I feel a tear start to form in my eye, but I quickly wipe it away, trying not to mess up my make up. The restaurant Sarah said is mine and Courtney's favorite restaurant to go to together.

I haven't gone there without her in six years.

"What's wrong KayKay?" Sarah asks, while we're all getting in the car.

"It's just that I haven't gone to Fudruckers without Courtney in six years. It's our favorite restaurant to go to."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, you didn't know."

"Are you okay with going there?"

"No, but I'll live. Not like it's gonna kill me."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah," I say looking down at my hands.

I don't really talk while we're there.

Austin keeps looking at me with this sad face. It's kinda making me more upset.

I really wanna get to know the real him. Not just what I know from the internet. I kinda already have, but I want to be really close to him, but not dating. I wanna be his girl best friend. I don't wanna take the best best friend spot from Alex.

The Alex and Courtney thing has died down. It better stay that way.

Austin's PoV

She's so sad. I just want to hug her right now. There's still so much I want to learn about her. She's like my girl best friend. At the moment I don't want to be anything more than that.

I really hope Courtney wakes up soon. She hasn't improved at all.

When Sarah, Alex, Robert, and I went to see her, one of the doctors told us that they didn't think that she's going to wake up.

He said that she will most likely start getting worse then eventually die.

I still can't believe he said that to us.
