*Quick Author's Note*
Hi! I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to read my book! It's been a struggle for me to gather up the courage to post this as this book is literally my baby. I've been nursing this book for some time now and I'm so excited to be able to share it with you.Furthermore, I just wanted to make a preliminary note to make it known that each part will have between 3-5 chapters in it. I know that the chapters may not be as long as some would like but I do multiple parts to some chapters to make it as lengthy as possible. Also! This is a story with werewolf lineage, I want to make it clear that this is new to me and that I set it all up as best as I knew how as I wanted to make the werewolf world I'm introducing here in this book, entirely my own.
Lastly, please do not hesitate to message me or comment if you have questions or would like me to read your story! Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy my book.
Thanks,
M.Chapter One: Big Girls Don't Cry.
"What do you mean you're sending me to live with my father?" I asked her around my mouthful of oatmeal. She sighed and handed me my lunch.
It was about seven thirty and I would have to get going soon if I wanted to stop at the coffee shop on my way to school...and pick Lizzie up. That's the only downfall of having your friend live twenty minutes away! You have to get up earlier!
"I'm going be in London for three months. There are conferences and conventions and not mention I've been working nonstop these past few months and I would really love some time alone," She smiled gently at me and I fought the urge to fling my food at her.
She's just told me that she's going to be in London for three months! Three! And that I'm supposed to finish out first semester in Arizona with my dad. Whom I've never even met before!
"Listen, I've made all of the plans and everything. I sent your transcripts over to Flagstaff High; they've got your schedule done and everything! Your brother's are excited for you to come,"
Now this time I really did drop my spoon. "You didn't tell me I have sibling's mom!" I yelled at her as I got up and cleaned my dishes. "You never asked, remember?" I shot a glare her way and put my dishes in the dishwasher.
This isn't fair. I hope you know that."
She raised an eyebrow at me. "What isn't fair is that you got a brand new car for your birthday last year. What isn't fair is that you're complaining about living with your father, his wife, and your brother's when millions of other people out there are dreaming of having the life you live. That isn't fair, Gracelynn." She said calmly.
"You don't play nice, do you?" She laughed and got up and left the room. "Get out of my house. Get Lizzie and be safe!" She called over her shoulder. Waiting until I heard her shower run I sat down and contemplated what all had just been thrust at me. She literally brought up the subject of my dad like we had discussed it twenty times before and then she expects me to just go on and digest it healthily? That doesn't happen in real life! And then she freaking drops the biggest bomb of all. Not only am I moving in with my father but I also have two brothers. Older or younger, I don't know. I don't about any of this.
I've never known my father. Every time I brought up the subject she made it seem like he was this man that was supposed to feared or that I should be weary of wanting to have him in my life. I...I don't know. Last night I was worried about how I was going to convince my boyfriend to go to a party with me and now I have to worry about packing and telling everyone that I'm moving. And I don't think my mom cares.
