Chapter 7

LEXA'S P.O.V

I waited for his answer and he looks like a little puppy. It's cute to see him nervous but that makes me nervous too. 

"She's my ex-girlfriend." He says while looking down at the table. "Why didn't you just tell me that you goob. I thought you were being an asshole for no reason" I say trying to be cool and clearly it's working because he's laughing. "I thought you were gonna freak" he states but little did he know I am freaking out on the inside. She's stunning and i'm very below average.

"How did you guys break up?" I ask really just wanting to know if he broke up with her or does he still have lingering feelings. "She broke up with me. I was to sarcastic and hipster for her precious little life." he says with a lot of resentment. 

"I have a lot of homework to do so I have to go back home but thank you for everything." I say trying to leave this place because I felt like I was going to punch her face in. "Sure, just let me get the check." Harry says walking to the cash register. Of course she had to ring him up. With her perfect face and nice hair and that fake smile. He is taking a little to long. So I walk up behind him as he's shoving a little piece of paper in his pocket. "Ready to go babe?" He asks and I nod my head yes.

The drive to my apartment was short and silent. I just had to many things on my mind to talk so I just let Keith's strumming calm me down. "We're here" Harry says.  I thank him and he kisses me goodbye.

HARRY'S P.O.V

Meghan I wish I could hate her but I can't. She's so damn nice. Lexa and I aren't in a relationship yet so I didn't think it was a big deal to take her number just to catch up. I would never date her again but she was a good friend. Curly didn't seem upset about it even though she clearly saw me take her number. She's great like that. Maybe next time i'll see her I will ask her to be my girlfriend but she did tell me she was afraid of commitment. We'll see how long that will last.

Harry: Hey Meg :)

Meg: Heyy ;)

Harry: What's up?

Meg: I miss you like a lot.

Harry: Oh...

That's all I could say. What am I supposed to say after she dumps me for a ridiculous reason. Fuck her. Lexa's way cooler and I know she would never treat me the way Meghan did.

Meg: I'm sorry I broke it off like that. I want to start over.

Harry: Friends. I have to go study. ttyl

I can't believe her. Right when I start to find someone different she comes along. Fuck my life. At least Curly doesn't like commitment.

*that night*

There is a party here again. Every Saturday it's the same. Get fucked up and hook up. Here we call it the 'up and up'. It's rubbish if you asked me. The music is playing loud and all I could think about was getting some booze in my system. I had to forget about the shitstorm my life is going to become tomorrow.  3 beers and 8 shots later. I see her. Fuck.

"Hey babe." Meghan says seductively. "Hi" I try to stay cool. "The party is great." She screams over the music. Her voice sounds a little like kermit the frog to me but i'm drunk so I don't really mind. "I'm going to get some drinks. You want one?" I ask trying to be polite. "Yes, thanks babe" she says as I walk into the kitchen.

"I saw you with Meghan" Colin says. Colin is the head of this Frat. He makes the rules and we follow. I wouldn't be in this stupid house unless they were paying for a huge chunk of my tuition which they most definently are. I moved out here on my own. Those schooling visas are expensive. "Yeah I was mate." I say trying to sober up. "I saw you leave this morning with Lexa." he says completly sober and i'm  trying to find a solid explaination. "Yeah, Lexa's really cool and Meghan and I aren't friends" I say telling the complete truth. "Well dude she's hot and she likes you." Colin says slurring his words with every sip he drinks.

"I know she does but I don't like her." I state simply. "Her dad funds this fraternity and she get what she wants bro." He says making me a little on edge. "And?" I ask trying to make sense of this while i'm completly pissed. "You're going to date her or you get kicked out. You got me?" Colin says seriously. I don't want to hurt Curly but this is my future. 

"Okay" I say completly serious.
