*Rachel's POV*

I was outside in the waiting room anxiously waiting for my name to be called. It was final callbacks for Teen Wolf. I was going to audition for the role of Haley Valencia on season 3A of MTV's Teen Wolf.

"Rachel Knightly!" Is called. I nervously go in and audition. I don't let my nervousness show. But, I try not to come across as cocky, knowing that would be terrible for my reputation. After the audition, I sit back down in the waiting room and well, wait.

"Okay, that's everyone, we will be getting in touch will all of you shortly," Jeff Davis says, coming out of the audition room. I smile, gather my stuff and shuffle my way out of the building. I think I did well. I get in my crappy old Toyota and drive back to my apartment. This was my 9th month in LA. If I don't land this role, or book something in the next 3 months, I have to go back home to Topeka, and my dreams are crushed. I unlock the door and go back to my room. I collapse on the bed and sigh. Sure, Topeka is my home, but I don't want to go back. Yes, it does have my boyfriend, friends, and family, but going back would be giving up. I hate giving up. I'm a person to persevere. But, I can't afford to live here for more than a year without getting a well-paying job - like an actor. I'm 22, and haven't gone to college yet. I always kept putting it off so I could continue pursuing my dream. I'm starting to regret it. But, I have a lot of hope in this role. That day drags on a bit, as I wait and wait for my call. Then, at precisely 11:48 my phone rings. I pick it up and answer it fast.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hi. This is Jeff Davis, the producer of Teen Wolf. Is this Rachel Knightly?"

"Oh! Hi! Yes, This is she,"

"Well, You were the best actress we auditioned for the role of Haley, and I would like to know if you can meet me somewhere so we can discuss details?"

"That'd be great! When are where can you meet?"

"Well, I want you to run lines with the cast so I can see how you interact with them. Can you meet at the studio around 1?"

"Of course! Could you give me the address?"

"Sure!" He gives me the address that I immediately write down.

"Thank you! I'll see you soon!"

"See you soon," I hang up and immediately run back to my room. I brush my hair and put it in a cute bun. I grab my makeup bag and start working on my eye makeup. I get it done, happy with the results and do the rest of my face. I change into a high-waisted yellow floral skirt and a yellow crop top with yellow wedges. I grab my brown leather purse and head out the door, and jumping in my car. I start singing along to some of my favorite songs. I was thrilled. This was the day I would always remember. The day I landed my role of Teen Wolf. August 4th, 2012, 11:48 am is the exact time my life changed. I stop at a small diner and eat lunch before putting in a piece of gum and driving to the studio, I was a while away, but was gonna get there just before 1. I drive, happy music playing the entire way. I pull up to the gate of the studio around 12:45.

"Hello. How can I help you?" The gate-keeper (is that the proper word..? 😂) asks.

"Um. I have a meeting with Jeff Davis and the cast of Teen Wolf..." I say. He checks his notepad.

"Rachel Knightly?" I nod. "I need to see your ID," he adds. I nod again and get it out of my purse. I hand it to him. He looks is over and hands it back before opening the gate. I drive and park my car in the lot closest the Teen Wolf studio. I get out and straighten out my skirt before walking up to the security guard standing outside.
