Steven's POV
Isabelle opens her fridge and takes out some frozen waffles and milk.
"We only have this." She tells me and I grab it from her.
"That's okay. How many do you want?" I ask her and she says one.
Once the food is done, we sit down on the couch and eat in silence.
"Steven um I'm gonna go to sleep, you can stay here if you want to or leave. It's up to you." Isabelle says and gets up and throws away her plate.
"I think i'll go home. Or go back to school. It's still early." I tell her and stand up and throw away my food.
"Oh okay." She says and plays with her hands.
"Yeah."
I go up to her and give her a hug and she hugs me back.
"Thanks again." She whispers in my ear.
Once I leave her house, I start to walk to school.

When I get to school, I go to the office and they give me a tardy slip and I start to walk to my class.
"Hey." I turn around and see Dakota.
"Um hi. Where have you been?" I ask him. I haven't seen him around in a couple of days. Not like I missed him or anything.
"I was sick for a couple of days. I feel better now though. Anyways where is Isabelle?" Dakota says.
"She's at home. She isn't feeling good." I tell him.
"What happened?!" He says.
"I'm not sure.." I tell him and he laughs.
"What? Why are you laughing?" I tell him.
"For no reason. Anyway i'll just ask Isabelle myself. And Steven, back off bro. Thanks." He then winks and walks away.
"Wait what?" I yell but he doesn't turn around.
I head to second period class and sit down.
