My eyes opened slowly, adjusting to the sunlight that was streaming in from my open bedroom window. I blinked a few times before shoving my warm covers off, and hopping out of bed.

Why is the morning always so bright? Can’t birds just shut-up and take some naps? I thought to myself while I lazily walked towards the kitchen, where the heaven that is coffee awaits me.

“Bella, are you up? Did you make me coffee?” I mumbled as I tried to wipe the sleep away from my eyes.

“I’m up. And yes I made coffee. But I made it for me, not you.” My roommate replied sending me a playful smile from where she sat, at the warm beige granite breakfast counter.

“Bella!”

“Okay! Okay! Have a cup.”

“Thank you!” I practically screamed running over to the coffee pot and pouring some of the glorious liquid into my ceramic mug.

“It’s cool. Don’t freak out.” She laughed leaning back in her chair and almost falling over. I pressed my lips together trying to suppress the giggle that were forming on my lips. “It’s not funny!”

“Sure it’s not.”

Honestly, she is just so funny! When I got here late, due to the whole Zayn incident, she was just so understanding. I thought I might have to find a new apartment because she was just too perfect. But then I tripped on my way up the stairs and she doubled over laughing. She also proceeded to make a bunch of pun jokes like, ‘Have a nice trip!’ and ‘See you next fall’. From that point on, I knew we were going to be good friends.

“Sydney? Sydney, are you alright?” Bella asked, causing me to jump out of my thoughts.

“I’m fine, just thinking.”

“Oh. Thinking about Zayn Malik, or should I say Mr. Popstar?” She giggled in return raising an eyebrow at me.

“I think you mean, Mr. Stick Up His Bum,” I replied scrunching up my nose in distaste.

I still can’t believe he’s a popstar. I mean, I thought he was just being arrogant asking if I wanted an autograph because he’s hot. But no, he’s a popstar. I only found this out yesterday while watching the news. His face was all over along with his fellow bandmates. I think there’s four of them total. What are they called again? Misdirection? Five idiots? Oh well, who cares.

“So you were thinking about him!” Bella smiled snapping me out of my thoughts.

“No.”

“Then why did you stare up into space after I mentioned him?” She asked her light hazel eyes narrowing in on my blue ones.

“Okay, so the second time I was thinking about him!”

“What about him?”

“About how he’s a popstar who has a stick up his bum.”
