Chapter 18

I woke up to sunlight beaming down on my face through the blinds. Jack was still fast asleep. His face was adorable. It was so innocent. I quietly walked out the door and went to the kitchen and started making scrambled eggs and toast. I popped the bread in the toaster and cracked eggs into a pan and cooked them. Just as I was serving them up Jack scared me from behind and I screamed. Again. He was in some black jeans, so atleast he was half covered. He grabbed one of the plates and sat down on the sofa and put on south park.
"These are good eggs honeybun." He says shovelling his eggs into his mouth greedily.
"Really? The chef back at the castle, ugh I mean my mum cooked great eggs. She taught me how." I say, attempting to cover up for my stupid self. Jack looked up at me confused and curiously.
"Your castle?"
I cross my arms behind my back then scratch my neck.
"Yeah, ugh I didn't mean to say that. I just sometimes put the word castle in my sentences!"
I lie.
"You're a really bad lier you know that right?" He huffs. He was right, I'm a crap lier.
"Come on spill the secret."
"I told you I just sorta..."
He tilts his head a little, crosses his arms and raises his eyebrows.
Should I tell him?
"I can't tell you." He huffs at me.
"Look Elsa, you are my best friend, possibly even more..."
Wait.. 'possibly even more' what does that mean? Oh god.
"I need to know. Otherwise I'll search it up."
"Do that then. You wont find anything." I said raising my voice.
"Look what I found"
Looks like I spoke too soon. I looked on his laptop screen. It had a picture of me and my castle and a whole page if info on me. I was princess of Denmark, a small country that nothig big happens in, yet I had my own FUCKING wiki page. I just facepalmed. Jack's eyes widened as he read further.
"YOU'RE A FUCKING PRINCESS!" He practically shouted. He slammed down his laptop and stood up.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He said in an angry tone, pointing at me.
I lightly paced up and down with my hand on one side of my face, staying silent.
"WHY!" He screached at me. I jumped back, frighted. He could see I was scared.
"Jack please stop..." I start before he takes my wrists and brings them up to his chest.
"NO Elsa. I DESERVE to know! Why did you hold this back." His brow was low and he stared sturnly into my eyes.
"Jack, look I I...." He held my wrists tighter.
"If you were me, shy, anxious, you wouldn't want people knowing you are a princess. I just want to be treated like a normal person, for once in my life."
He released my wrists but stayed close to me.
"When you are 'rich' and 'royal' people use you. They want you for money. Jack, I don't want to be used. So I'm sorry for wanting a normal life!" I shout.
"So don't you trust me?" He says, releasing his anger.
"I... I... I..." I stutter.
"NO I GET IT! Don't trust your BEST FRIEND! It's fine!" He shouts striding to his bedroom.
"Jack no it's not like that!" I say back at him, trying to keep up. Just as he gets to the door I grab his shoulder and stop him.
"Jack I'm sorry!" I cry, looking up at his face, full of... sadness?
"No I'm sorry Elsa. I guess I understand too. Girls just want me for money. You know my parents are loaded, when everyone found out they used me a bit."
I just hugged him. I hugged his shirtless body so tight.
"I'm over reacting, it's just... I don't know. It's big news." He shrugged.
"This is why I love you." I blurted out. It seriously came from nowhere.
Jack brought his finger to my chin and lifted it up so I met his gaze. He smirked at me and led me into his bedroom. He put a top on and some shoes. I just got changed into the same as yesterday.
"Please don't tell anyone about me being a princess." I sighed
"Of course I won't honeybun." He replied. My phone buzzed in my pocket. It was Punzie.

P- I'm having all the girls over at ours tonight xx

E- Oh god who? X

P- Merida, Ariel, Astrid, Mulan, Jasmine, Tooth, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Aurora and Tiana xxxx

E- Punzie thats 10 people xx I'll never sleep! X

P- Just find somewhere else to sleep then haha xxx

E- Fine! Xx

Looks like I'll be sleeping at... Wait, that's half my best friends there. Oh yeah, I don't do stuff like that, it's a hell hole of secret spilling hormonal teens. Looks like I'll be sleeping here.
"Do you mind if I stay here again tonight? Punzie is having the girls over."
"Well, Hiccup and Eugene are staying here because their dorm's are leaking, so the only space free is in my bed."
I looked up at him.
"Looks like I'll be sleeping there then." I giggled.
"Fine with me!" He said, repeatedly raising and lowering his eyebrows at me. I playfully hit him and we both laughed.
I went back to mine to get some stuff and I unpacked.
What have I gotten myself into.
