Chloe's POV
It's been a few days and I've warmed up to Chad he is my mate after all. He's been great he buys me flowers and candy. She's being really sweet and loving. Today Layla and her mate are gonna hang out with us . I put my hair into a high pony put on some black skinny jeans and a T-shirt that says if you see the cops warn a brother then put on a pair of black converse. I picked up my phone to see I had two texts.
Layla: Chloe I'm coming by myself today hope its OK.
Me: why what's wrong.
Layla: we have to talk alone please cancel with Chad.
Me: oh course babe just come over.

Chad: I'm do excited to see you I miss you.
Me: aww I miss you too but I have to cancel best friend in distress.
Chad: OK
Me: bye

Layla knocked on the door and I rushed to open it. She was crying and she jumped in to hug me. I caught her and hugged her tight. She sobbed and it broke my heart. I pulled her in the house and closed the door behind us with my foot. I slowly walked to the couch and I sat us down. She sat up and wiped her tears.
"What's wrong?" I ask her and she whimpered.
"Daniel.....he..he rejected me." She said and I instantly got upset. Mates are a very important thing and you don't just reject them.
"He did what!"I said standing up.
"He rejected me today because... Because he said he didn't want a mate ... he wanted to create his own destiny." She said then laughed bitterly at the end.
"That bastard!" I said.
"I'm gonna kick his ass! Yeah! That sounds good right now!" I said and layla grabbed my wrist.
"No Chloe it's OK. I'll be fine he isn't worst it." She said and I calmed down I should be comforting her not trying to kill people.
"I'm so sorry Layla." I said and hugged her.
"Who needs a mate anyway I have you." She said and I chuckled.
"You'll always have me Layla. Always."
