Camila Hunter

I opened my eyes due to the sunlight streaming in through my window. I sat up in my bed and stretched.

I sat there and thought for a minute before pushing the covers back and getting up. I went into the bathroom and closed the door.

I used the bathroom, when I was done I washed my hands. I grabbed my toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it and began to brush my teeth.

I spit out the toothpaste and rinsed my mouth out , turning the faucet off. I opened the door to the bathroom and walked out.

I went to my dresser and got my comb and combed my hair up into a ponytail. I left out my room, heading downstairs seeing Clara and Sadie doing their daily cleaning.

"Clara, Sadie. Good morning to you both."

"Good morning Ms. Hunter." Conner appeared from the kitchen.

"Would you like anything today?" What they mean by that is, something from outside this house. I can never leave this dungeon.

I've always wondered what the world was like, you would think I'm living in the movie Tangled without the long hair. I just wonder who's out there..
And are they meant for me?

Landon Torres

"Come on Landon, we're going to be late." My little sister dragged me down the busy sidewalk of North Carolina. It was a hot day and I promised her I'd take her to get some ice cream.

We were coming to a crossing but Lilyann kept dragging me.

"Lilyann stop." I said tugging at her hand, but she kept pulling.

"Lilyann stop right now!" She stopped and turned around and started to pout. See that's the problem with me there.

I'm sweet at times but just want power at the same time. Am I suffering from a bipolar disorder? I don't think so, because I would have been known.

The red person on the street sign turned into a walking green person, signaling that we can go. As you knew Lilyann pulled me right along.

---

"You like your ice cream?" She nodded her head. I smiled, I loved moments like these. To just take my little sister out and enjoy ourselves.

When she was done, I helped her clean up. I threw away her trash and helped her down from the chair. I picked her up and we left the ice cream parlor.

Eventually we made it back home, I opened the door and let her get down from my arms.

"Mommy!" Lilyann yelled.

"Hey dear, did you enjoy yourself?" She nodded. I walked over towards my mother and kissed her on the cheek.

"Hey mother."

"Hey Landon honey, how're you holding up?" I sighed. I knew she was talking about my job.

I recently just got fired from my job about two weeks ago. I've been on a job hunt for awhile now. I might just give up on the search.

"I've been okay, still looking for jobs." She rubbed the side of my face with her hand,

"Don't worry, you'll get a job soon." She said looking in my eyes, searching for any type of emotion.

"You hear me?" I nodded my head as she let out a slight smile.

"Good. Now go get washed up, dinner is almost ready."

Amanda Torres

As I finished dinner, I turned the stove off. I grabbed three plates from the dish rack and grabbed a big spoon from the drawer.

I scooped up some spaghetti and sat it on the plate and grabbed a piece of garlic bread. I did that for the next two plates.

I went to the table and set the plates down along with their silverware.

"Lilyann and Landon dinners ready!" Before you knew it, you heard feet rustling downstairs. I picked up Lilyann and sat her in her highchair.

Landon sat down at the table as I went and grabbed my food from the counter and sat down as well.

While we were eating, I just took in Landon's appearance. He looked every spit of his father, but I could also see the pain in his facial expression.

I know getting fired from a job is stressful, but he has to learn. He is young after all, something good will come his way. I know it will.

Clara

I was now in the store getting some things for Ms. Hunter, I grabbed my cellphone out and dialed her number.

When she picked up, I waited for her to speak.

"Hello?"

"Ms. Hunter, what would you like to eat tonight?"

"It doesn't matter Clara, I appreciate the things you cook."

"Very well then." She hung up the phone.

I decided on going with Crab Stuffed Lobster Tails for tonight.

---

I retrieved my keys from my purse before opening the door. I walked inside and shut the door behind me, setting the stuff on the counter.

"What are you making tonight?" Vivian asked me.

"Crab Stuffed Lobster Tails."

"Sounds good to me." I chuckled.

"Where Is Camila?"

"She's upstairs sleeping." We both knew what that meant, we could have some time with ourselves.

"Go get Owen, Conner and Sadie." She nodded.

A few moments later she came back with them. I got 5 glass cups and champagne and went out into the living room and all took a seat.

I sat the cups on the table and poored us each a glass.

"You sure we should be doing this?" Sadie questioned.

"Of course we can darling." Sadie gulped as I rolled my eyes. She over thinks to much.

"Where should we begin?"

"Well." Owen spoke up,

"Have you heard about what happened on the news?"

"Cut the chit chat about the stupid news, let's talk about Camila." We all nodded in agreement.

"I really feel bad for her." Conner said. I took a sip of my champagne and sighed.

"I do too, but you know we kept our word to Raine."

"Thats right." We all said.

"I love her like my own daughter." Vivian said. We all nodded.

"I don't see why he would leave her like that, she's a beautiful young lady."

"I always told her the world is dangerous out. That's we never want her out of our sight, because that same world swallowed her father right up."

"I just hope that his disappearing, was really worth it for his daughter. If he ever returns, I know she will have a lot of questions."

"Or she might kill him." Sadie said, we all looked at her. Not even remembering she was there, due to her silence.

"Kill him she says, now that's funny."
She let out a laugh as the rest of us laughed along and clanked our cups together and took a sip of our drinks.
