Landon Torres

"Mom really, I have to leave now." I said while she messed with my bow tie.

At the moment I was on my way to a job interview. Hopefully this one actually works out.

I felt a tug at my pants. I peeked down to see Lilyann, I let out a soft smile.

"You look pretty." She said to me ever so elegantly. I chuckled, "Why thank you my lady." I said while smoothing down my jacket.

She laughed while I picked her up and messed with her hair. "Good luck Landon, you'll do great. We'll celebrate with ice cream!" She screamed while kissing my cheek and giving me a thumbs up.

I smirked before putting her down. "Yeah, that's if I get the job silly goose." I said with a sigh.

"I'll see you guys later?" I looked at them both.

"Most definitely." My mother answered.

"Alright, see you then. I love you both and wish me good luck." I kissed both of their foreheads before walking out the door and shutting it behind me.

Taking in the fresh air while putting my hands in my pockets, I took off down the street.

Camila Hunter

My mind wondered through space. Memories flashing through my mind.

"Vivian, you have to look out for Camila. Matter of fact all of you, I can't get her into this type of mess sh-"

The stairs creeked under the slight weight of Camila.

"Daddy?"

He rushed over to her and picked up her elegant frame.

"Hey sweetheart."

"Daddy why are you up so late?"

Raine looked around the room at Vivian and the others.

"Daddy has to go off to work okay ? He has a very important thing to do."

I nodded.

"I love you, and be good for the others okay?

Once again I nodded. He kissed me on my forehead and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

He set me down and gave me one last look before stepping out the door and shutting it ever so slightly.

I never thought that would've been the last time I would see my father.

I should've known that kiss held love but also guilt.

Years went past and I made myself believe father had died.

Until one night I heard Owen babbling on the phone.

I thought it was one of his little girlfriends. Until I heard the name I've once forced myself to forget.

Raine.

I thought he was dead. I thought my father was dead. He would never leave me behind with these stupid house maids...

Would he?

I stepped down the stairs quietly.

I stood on the top stairs and cleared my throat.

"Owen who are you talking to?"

His body tensed up.

He hung up the phone and shooed me upstairs.

Dad was alive. So he really did just leave me here.

More years went by and I've grown to love Vivian and the others.

A tear slid down my cheek as I remembered those moments like it happened yesterday.

I heard a knock on my door and whiped my face with the back of my sleeve.

"Come in."

Owen peeped his head inside before coming all the way in.

He sat on the bed and looked at me. Noticing my red eyes.

"Camila... Have you been smoking?"

I groaned. "No damn it." I stood up from my bed, pacing around my room.

Owen broke the silence.

"What's wrong?"

I lifted an eyebrow at him.

"Be honest with me Owen."

"Of course."

"Is Raine still alive?"

Pure silence.

"Answer me Owen." I said while clenching my fist.

He stuttered before answering.

"Yes." I knew it. I thought to myself.

"So, when I was younger. You were talking to him... That night i came down the stairs and you shooed me away like I was some fly!"

I stated while my voice was rising.

"Look Camila calm down. He still calls from time to time... To see if you're alright."

"So he can call to see if im 'alright' but can never stop by? And tell my why he left me?!"

A knock on my door steered me out of my rampage.

Clara peeked around the door.

"Is everything alright?"

I glared at Owen.

"I was just leaving."

I stormed out heading to the balcony.

Getting some fresh air really calmed me down.

Moments later, I heard footsteps approaching me and I slightly sighed.

"What do you want?"

"Please forgive Owen about not telling you about your fath-."

I cut Clara off.

"Raine."

"Yeah, Raine.."

I scrunched my face up.

"Wait were you in this to? Do all of you know?!"

She fiddled with her fingers.

"Yes."

I threw up my hands. "Wow! Just great."

"Camila we love you! We couldn't see you in pain by the truth."

"If y'all loved me, you wouldn't have kept it from me. You would've told me the truth no matter the consequences. So I guess you guys don't love me as much as I thought."

I glared at her. Before walking back in the house from off the balconly.
