"I sat near the green water, prodding at the dead fish with a stick. It kind of . . . Just, floated. Poor fish, I thought. It just didn't strike me as normal, though. A dead fish in perfectly healthy water. The Falls always rushed in with new fish, so I highly doubt it could be a mating thing. Maybe . . Maybe, it was just old. Yeah, just old. I can't seem to find a way out of here, and maybe the fish had the same problem. I hope I don't wind up like the fish. I'll tell you what happened to me as long as you promise not to try to come find me or The Falls. And most certainly do not try to come after sunset. Trust me, it's not long until I disappear anyways. It is Sepulveda Falls, after all."
