"We're here!" I yelled as I pulled into the drive way of my aunts beach house. It looked just as I had remembered. The same light green color with the same white railing around the porch. My bedroom has always been upstairs and to the right with a perfect view of the beach. I haven't been here since I was at least 10. We use to come every summer all summer but everyone started to get busy and didn't have enough time. There were so many memories in this house, from the time I jumped off the roof to the time Cece and I snuck out late at night and went swimming only to have her get stung by a jelly fish and run inside crying to her mom. I missed this place so much and I started to tear up when I walked into my room. As I sat on my bed a memory popped into my head. I was about 6 and a kid that had moved here from Britain when he was 5, Dan I think his name was, had told me that sea monsters would come out of the ocean at night and eat little girls that kicked sand at boys named Dan. Of corse I had kicked sand at him seconds before he told me the story and I was terrified. My parents slept with me that night. All three of us in my twin size bed. I slept on top of my dad. "Nothing's going to get you baby girl." My dad had whispered before I drifted to sleep. A tear slid down my face. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of my parents. I sat my stuff on the floor and stood up. I walked down stairs and all the girls were sitting on the floor sorting out the food we had got from the small store. "Hurry up and let's go for swim." I said excitedly. It's been forever since I had gone swimming in the ocean.

I walked outside in my bikini and soaked in the warmth of the sun. It feels nice to be away from everything. Soon the rest of the girls came outside. "Last one there has to do all the dishes for the weekend!" Bobbi yelled and took off running towards the water. We all took off after her. I soon pasted Bobbi and gave her an evil laugh. I ended up splashing into the water first. I did a victory dance as all the other girls splashed in after me. I laughed as I watched Bobbi come in last. "Oh Bobbi looks like you have to do the dishes. Bummer." I said and laughed. "Shut up." She grumbled. Everyone laughed. The water was the perfect temperature. "This is so nice." I said. Everyone agreed. I was about to dive under the water when a pair of hands went around my eyes. "Guess who?" The manly voice with a British accent said. "Um the pizza guy?" I guessed. "No boo you were wrong!" The boy shouted. I turned around. "Dan! Oh my gosh it's been forever! I've missed you!" I shouted and hugged him. Despite him scaring me as a child all the time he was still one of my oldest friends. "I know I've missed you too, Mally." I smiled at his nick name for me. It doesn't even match my name except of it starting with a M but it never stopped him from calling me it. "You still have your accent after all these years." I said. I thought he would have lost it by now. "Yeah I mean my parents still have there's and I'm around them all the time so it kind of stuck." Dan said. "Well good because it's one of my favorite things about you." I said. Some one cleared their throat from behind me. I turned around and all the girls were looking at me. "Oh yeah. Guys this is Dan. Dan this is Bobbi, Vanessa, Wolf, and you know Cece." I pointed to each girl as I said their name. "Wolf is also British." I told Dan. "Cool. So how long are you guys going to be here?" Dan asked. "Three days." Cece said. "Aww bummer. Not that long." Dan said. "Yeah. Do you want to go inside and catch up?" I asked. "Yeah let's go." He said. I grabbed his hand and lead him inside and up to my room. We both sat down on the bed and I took the opportunity to actually look at him. His hair was dark brown and swooped to be side, he was tall, pale face, lanky body, but all around he turned into a very cute boy. "So do you have a boyfriend back home?" Dan asked. "Uh not anymore. I kind of broke up with him today. He cheated on me so yeah." I said. "How about you. Got a girl?" I asked. "Well despite my good looks, charm, and accent no I don't." Dan said. "Aw I would have thought girls were fighting tooth and nail over you." I said. "Nope but at least I have more time to play video games." Dan said. "Remember when we'd play call of duty together and I'd loose track of time and my mom would have to call at like 2am telling me to come back home." I laughed. "Yeah I always wanted you to stay. You were and still are the best team mate I've had." Dan said. I awed. "I'm honored I said. We sat on in silence for while. "Can I tell you something?" Dan asked. I nodded my head. "I use to have the biggest crush on you." Dan said. I was I little shocked. "Well to be honest I had a crush on you too." I said truthfully. "I would always get nervous when you came over. I would run around straightening up stuff, made sure I looked good and I always made sure my mom got your favorite chips. I had tried so hard to impress you and I thought it didn't work." The thought of 10 year old Dan doing anything to impress me made me laugh. "Well it did work. I wish you would have told me you liked me though. I mean we were only 9 but I definitely would have begged my parents more to come back." I said. I always thought that Dan and I would make a great couple. We had a lot in common and let's face it we would look so cute together. "Mally, can I do something?" Dan asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "Go ah-" before I could finish Dan grabbed my face and crashed his lips to mine. I didn't pull away for two reasons. 1, he's a really good kisser and 2, I'm single and still mad at Ethan for kissing Sarah. "God I've missed you." Dan said once we pulled away. I stood up and grabbed his hand. "Let's go swim." I said. I gave him a quick kiss before dragging him to the beach.

Dun dun duhhh! Yes I based Dan off of Dan from Dan and Phil games (they are the definition of best friend goals btw). (But he's 16 in this). Sue me! Anyway, hope you liked the chapter! Please vote and comment! Love y'all!
