Laxus One shot ~ Idiot

Lightning shaped scar beside her left eye

The black haired female blocked attack after attack.
"Stop it this is far enough! Calm down already!" She yelled grimacing as his fist came down on her arms.
"Stop please!" She yelled, then a look of fear over came her tear filled face and the next moment there was a blinding flash of light and a ear piercing head splitting scream.

Laxus bolted upright in bed coated in sweat his breathing labored. It was the same dream the same horrible dream. He had it almost every night this month but then again it was the anniversary of that day. He stared down at his hands as a name rang from his lips. "Selena..."
His eyes turned to gaze out the window, it was a brilliantly sunrise just like it had been then.
"Selena..."
With a sigh he rose, might as well get a head start on the day.

The area behind the old guild was the perfect place to practice, especially now that since the magic games had ended they had been given the old guild hall back.
Training now would help clear his head, cool him down for the very long day ahead.
However it appeared someone was already there.
A white haired female was standing there in a black bathing suite like battle suite.
"Oh it's you Mira you here to train as-" Laxus stopped at the same time as the girl started and turned to face him he caught a scent of her. "Selena." His eyes were wide, he hadn't seen her since...
She looked just as shocked as he felt as she turned around fully to face him.
"Laxus? Is that-is that you?" Laxus was stunned he hadn't seen her since a year ago that day, not completely by accident either he usually tried to make himself busy with a job on the days he knew she'd be in town. Honestly he expected a fist to the face, a kick to the groin even, or even a knife to the chest, but he got none of those.
Instead she just stared at him looking mildly confused. Than Laxus realized something her hair which had turned Snow White after that day had grown longer and now covered her left eye. However just as he realized this a happy smile spread across her lips as though she had finished looking him over. She stopped a few feet before him with that happy smile a warm look in her eye.
"It's been a long time Laxus, welcome back or really welcome home." Selena didn't have even a bit of anger in her eyes not a hint of fear or hatred just warmth the same old warmth that she had used to look at him with. Laxus's hand shook as he reached out his body in shock.
"Selena." His hand slowly and gently reached out for her face giving her plenty of time to smack it or move away but she didn't she merely looked surprised as his hand brushed against her cheek. His thumb caressed over her smooth lips in a gesture he had long missed and when she allowed it with just a shocked expression and slight blush he couldn't help it.
Selena let out an eep noise and flinched her eyes closing as Laxus's hands struck out towards her but she never felt a blow rather her entire body came smacking into a hard yet soft warmth that thrummed under her ear.
"Selena I'm sorry." She froze Laxus's voice hummed under her ear. She was completely encased inside his arms and he was crying.
"Laxus..." She mumbled feeling her own knees tremble as he stepped away. Neither were aware they had a whole crowd of on lookers going on watching them from the guild wallabove them.
He didn't meet her gaze until she burst into tears.
"Laxus you idiot!" She sobbed covering her eyes and crying into her hands her whole body shook and he felt helpless.
"D-don't cry!" He had no idea what to do with crying women none in the slightest. His own tears and fears were forgotten seeing her cry like that.
"Idiot!" She sobbed then much to everyone's especially Laxus's surprise she leapt forward her arms wrapping tight around his broad chest as she tackled him backwards off the grass area they were standing on and down the slope towards the dock and the water.
"Hey watch it dummy!" His arms wrapped around her shielding her from harm as they toppled and slid down the slope eventually stopping at the bottom with him on top.
"S-sorry." She grimaced her hand rubbing her head.
Laxus would have given his usual tch. But he stopped as he spotted something. Her long Snow White hair had fallen away and out of her face revealing a lightning shaped scar that ran from her temple to the corner of her left eye, it's usual bright emerald green color was different than before it was as though it had smudged like a stamp it was as clear as before. Laxus's thumb traced over the scar in guilty horror.
"Oh that." She mumbled "It's not as bad as it looks, thanks to gramps's friend I've regained all my sight though I'll always have the scar. Small price to pay right?"
How could she say that? How could she act so nonchalant about this with him?
He closed his eyes as his heart squeezed tight.
"Guess that's what I get for trying to take on a century quest huh?" His eyes snapped open.
"Say what!"
She looked at him startled.
"What you didn't know? While you guys were frozen in tenrou island I took a century quest at Timestall island, considering it's still called Timestall island you can guess that I didn't break the time freeze curse. Didn't you realize I haven't aged while you were gone?" She demanded. Laxus's eyes widened and he blushed. He always did forget about their time in Tenrou, here he'd been thinking it'd been a year since her seen her when really it had been.
"Eight years huh? Why the weird look though we both got back ok." She stated confused by his expression. However woman's intuition won out as he blushed and looked away. Selena's expression softened. "You didn't think you had caused this that time did you?"
Laxus refused to meet her gaze, her expression softened even further. "Laxus," he almost jumped as her arms wound round his neck. "You really are an idiot."
"Oi, don't start calling people idiots you fool." A smile broke across her lips at his gentle retort.
"I can't help it even if you are an idiot you're my idiot." And with that she pulled him down for a mind numbing kiss. Laxus was shocked to pieces his eyes almost popped out of his head as he froze before closing his eyes and relaxing gently kissing her back. Their kiss was mind numbing and electric it was so good. She had definitely gotten much better at this since the incident at the cathedral.
"I love you." She mumbled as they pulled away.
"I-love-" but he couldn't say it as she started to giggle. "Shut up brat! I can say without you laughing!"
"I know you can Im just happy!" Sh laughed.
"Don't say things like that idiot!" His cheeks turned red but he kissed her again so she knew he didn't really mind. "I love you idiot."

I know it's super short but I thought it was cute and I've been taking forever to update so I thought it'd be better than nothing. Im working on a bunch of one shots as we speak it's just taking a while. Im sorry but I want them to be good when I post them because you guys deserve the best I can do.
