"Hey, Nicole." Calum said giving her a hug before she walked to me and gave me a hug as I sat on the counter. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in forever." She said. "I've been okay. Busy with work mainly." I said before glancing at Calum who was staring at me with a soft smile. "Are you still working at that magazine in the city? And what about school? How's that?" "Yep. I might be getting promoted to co-editor next month and school is school. Kicking my butt as always." I said. "And your apartment? How's that?" She asked. "It's great." I said. "She won't be living there much longer." Calum said as he began to make pancakes. "Why not?" Nicole asked. I sighed. "Calum convinced me to move in with him last night." I said before she raised her eyebrows. "That'll be fun." "I think it's a terrible idea honestly, but it is going to be fun." Calum turned around. "You better stop saying it's a bad idea." He said as he pointed at me. "Things happen, Cal. It'll all be fine in the beginning then things will go downhill because..." I stopped talking as the thought of Calum and I growing unnecessary feelings for each other. "Because what, Y/N." He asked as he crossed his arms. "Nothing. Just forget it." I mumbled as I looked down. "Well, I just came by to drop off my stuff forte show tonight. I'll be fixing everyone up here so I just wanted to go about and run some errands." Nicole said. She placed her hand on my knee briefly before pulling away. "I'll see you two later." She said before leaving. We heard the door shut before I looked up at Calum who looked a bit angry. "What was that about?" He asked, his voice low. "What was what about?" I asked as I hopped off the counter. I began to walk away and he grabbed my arm. "Y/N, seriously. Tell me." He said as I looked back at him. "It's nothing, Cal. Just drop it. I'm gonna go get ready to go." I kissed his check as he let go of my arm slowly as I walked away.
