Joseph's POV:
I could feel her, through the sea of numbing paralysis, I could feel her. At first she had been confused, but then she remembered all that happened to us. And as she did, I did. I blinked my eyes open, and watched as a man pulled her up and put a knife to her throat. She pretended to be asleep still, until some man said something that made her grief and anger show through her mask of calm.
"You see I don't have to, I don't want to. I will kill this bitch and then have my way with you, all of you! And none of you would be able to stop me." And that's when I heard her in my head.
Never!! NEVER! And that's when she opened her eyes. Her eyes were a deep dark red, and she was pissed. With a snarl she stomped on his foot, elbowed him in the stomach, and turned his face into what I could only describe as jello. A dark red, chunky mess of jello, from all of the hits she supplied to his face. And she didn't stop, she never stopped, she just kept punching. She didn't care that he was dead, she wasn't satisfied yet.
"Baby? Baby come back to us." Emmah said, cautiously placing a hand on Starr's shoulder. Starr froze, her fists bloody from not only Romans blood, but her own. She had practically split her knuckles open. Emmah fell to her knees and squeezed Starr into a hug, that was when Starr relaxed. Starr got up and everyone got a chance to hug her, but me. She couldn't see me. I needed to touch her, to show her I was there to. But she went over to Kerrie to wake her and Justin and Dave up. And that's when I saw Rozlyn, she had a gun pointed at Starr and murder was clear on her face. No, no!
"St-!" I never finished my warning. But I did see Rozlyn look at me and lift her hand as to say stop, to tell someone no. And I saw Starr scramble to get up and come to me. In fact my last memory was seeing Starr's tear filled gaze, and her hoarse cry of
"NO!!!!!" Before I was beheaded. Then everything went black.
