"Hey Beth" Joe called from behind me.

"Yes Joseph" I joked.

"I was wondering if you would want to come over after school?" He asked shyly.

"Sure, I'll have to ask my mum" I replied sweetly as I shoved my books in my locker.

"Why?" He asked cluelessly.

"She doesn't know you and she'll kill me if she knows that I went to your house without permission." I sighed closing my locker and made my way to PE with my gear.

"Why don't you text her?" He asked sweetly.

"Fine" I sighed, getting out my phone and shot my mum a quick text saying that I won't being coming home until later tonight.

"So. Why do you want me to come over?" I asked.

"Just to chill" he shrugged.

"Okay..." I pursed my lips, looking up at him.

We walked down to the gym and went our separate ways to get changed. We then met out on the bleachers.

"Now, today class we are going to do some fitness!" Our teacher spoke loud as everyone solemnly cheered.

"Everyone line up behind an activity and then we will swap the exercise every two minutes" he explained.

I stood up to go move to an activity until I felt Joe tug onto my wrist. He pulled me close to him and mumble in my ear;

"You don't really want to do this, do you?"

I shook my head.

"Come on" he said, rushing behind the bleachers and out the emergency exit.

"Where are we going?" I asked, snatching my wrist away from his hand.

"I didn't want to stay there, let's do something" Joe said, standing in front of me.

"Like what?" I asked.

"See that passage way? That's covered and old. Ever wondered what's behind there?" He asked, pointing to a path that has grown weeds everywhere over the years next to the tennis court.

"Aren't you scared?" I asked.

"Nope" he replied walking right in.

I didn't want to be left alone, I didn't want to leave him alone and I didn't want to leave us alone. So I followed him.

The path lead to a small ground of broken bricks and a broken lunch table.

"This is the old part of the school before the extension." I explained.

"I'm disappointed." He frowned.

"Told you not to come here" I chuckled.

"There's nothing, it's so boring" he groaned, picking up a stick and drawing lines in dirt.

"Kids?!" We heard our angry PE teachers voice.

"Run" he said breathlessly and dragged me further into the bushes until we reached the end of the school grounds, with a black fence stopping us.

My heart rate sped up as I could hear the teacher come closer and closer.

"D-do we jump it?" I stuttered.

"Yes! What else do we do?!" He exclaimed and jumped the fence and ran up the foot path outside of the school. I had no choice but to follow.

We ran all the way around the school until we reached the gym again. We bursted in as everyone stopped their fitness to look at us.

Panting, we slowly came and join the rest of our class.

"Let's do that again" Joe panted, smiling wide.

"Are you insane?!" I exclaimed.

"Joseph sugg and Bethwynn lacy! Where the heck have you been!" Our PE teacher shouted.
