Chapter 1

Spring. My favorite time of the year...

Its the day before Easter break, and i can't wait to get out of school. Five minutes untill the bell rings. HURRY UP! I mentally yell at the clock. Finally, the bell rings, and I walk out of class and down the hill to meet mom at her car.

"Hey mom!" I yell. I can't wait to go home.

"Hi sweetie how was school?" she askes me once I get in

Boring of course! Like its diffrent any other day. O well. I just wanna go home. By the way, my name is Arya Svit-Kona. Im thirteen and halfway into eighth grade. Im a completely normal girl. At least thats what most people think. I hang out with friends, go to the mall, and gossip about the cute guys on the basketball team. I Captain the school team, Shadow.

Finally! Im home! After dropping me off, mom leaves for work. She wont be home untill about 3 tommorow morning. After unlocking my door with the key I have hidden outside, I race strait to my room and blast out to my favorite song "11:11" by Austin Mahone. Clean my room time. Crap. This will take awhile... 2 hours later, my bedroom is spotless, and I head outside to the strawberry patches. Mom always thinks her plants flurish because she takes good care of them. Ya right! Thats what I do! I sit next to the smallest patch and begin to sing.

As my voice gives life to a sweet melody, my phone rings. It's my mom. she won't be home till 4.

After im done at the strawberry patch, I head for the huge forest that is my backyard. No one has ever been back there besides me.  I pick my way through the forest to the small lake that is in the back, near the mountains.

 Anyways, most of break went by pretty fast, and before I knew it I was back at school.

After getting out of the car, I walk quickly to the basketball courts, where I hope to catch a glimpse of Eragon, the super cute captin of the team. Of course, im not disipointed. However, I run into Laci, one of my best friends. She knows exactally what im doing. Crap...

"Going to see your boyfriend?" She askes me. Of couse, she won't let me pass, I have to answer.

"Get out of my way Laci" I say, I know im blushing " And hes not my boyfriend"

She knows me to well

"Really?" she askes

, still not letting me pass

Typical

"Im mentally slapping u right now" I mutter at her and she lets me pass. Again I run into a friend. I need less friends sometimes... At least this time its Destiny.

"Whats up, Arya?" she askes me, her tipical hello

"Hey Dess im going to the courts, u coming?"

She has a crush on another member of the team, and I know shes coming.

"Of course! Do you thing im crazy? I always come!" Same answer every day.

I run to the court next to where the team is practicing, and start shooting hoops. Destiny comes along a minute later, panting.

"Why do you have to run so fast?" She complains, annoyed

"Because, we only have like ten minutes till class and I gotta spy on u know who. And practice for my game Friday." I tell her

"What ever, Arya" She says and challenges me to a game of one on one. I win, natrually. The bell rings

Dang it... First piriod, Science. Mrs.Smith is having everyone draw names for their lab partners.

"Ladys First!" She announces to the class. Can you guess who I got paired with? Thats right, Eragon!

Destiny sits right next to me, and I show her my slip.

"Why do you always get the good luck?" She mumbles as I smile brightly.

"O shut up Dess!" I say "How does my makeup look?"

"Perfect, like always" she replies, annoyed

Of course my makeups perfect... I spend like three hours doing it every morning.I know she hasn't looked at her card... Hmmm... 

"Who did you get?" I ask, almost laughing, i  know who it is, i saw the slip

"No one interesting I bet" she mutters and opens her slip

"Wholy crap!" She squeaks " I got Kyle!"

I can't help it and burst out laughing

"Whats so funny?" she askes me, still amazed

"Nothing, nothing..." I reply " Here they come!" Im right, Eragon comes over and sits at my table, next to me, and Kyle sits next to her.

"Hey, I saw you two playing this morning, your pretty good" Eragon tells me.

"I try" I say with a smile

He laughs. Point one. Destiny's chatting with Kyle all through the lesson, and of course, im talking to Eragon. He seems pretty nice, and invites me and Destiny to sit with him & Kyle at lunch. Of course, we accept.

The rest of my classes before lunch speed past in a blur, and before I know it, me and Destiny are standing in the lunch line.

"Look," she mutters to me, and I do. Sitting with Eragon is Izlandi, the most popular girl in the school. I cuss under my breath.  Izlandi starts to look sick, and runs from the lunch room. Haha.  She hates everyone, especially me. After we get our lunch, we walk over to Eragons table. He sees us coming, and moves over so there's a spot next to him and Kyle for Destiny and me.

"Hey girls, come sit down!" he calls over to us "Did you see what happened to Izlandi? I hope shes ok.." He dosen't look worried.

Lunch was awsome, and I day-dreamed through the rest of my classes.

Before we know it, Dess and I are on the bus to her house. I called mom and asked her if I could hang out at Destinys and do some homework. She agrees. Of course we dont do homework, we talk about today, listen to our favorite artist, Austin,and laugh at what happened to Izlandi. Once I get home I tell mom I had a bunch of homework and start to work on it.
