Third POV

There was a couple of seconds of tense silence between the two players that had once thought of each other as brothers. Kagami was still trying to recover from the initial shock that Tatsuya was even standing here talking to him since the two of them really hadn't had much of a one-on-one since their streetball game back in the summer. Now, with the information that they both had from what Alex had told them, things seemed to be even more tense between the two of them.

The redheaded tiger was able to swallow his shock before his expression hardened just like his older brother's once he had a second to let his comment sink in. It all seemed to check out, because it was clear that Tatsuya didn't come here for a simple little chat. Letting out a sigh through his nose, Kagami kept his cool as he rubbed his thumb over his nose.

"Gotta say, didn't expect to see you out here. Thought you were supposed to be back with your team," he pointed out that the black haired boy should've been back with his team, or that's where he thought the oh so responsible second year was supposed to be.

"I'll go back in a minute. I just wanted to confirm something," Tatsuya answered the subtle accusation that he was slacking off or being a sneak or something like that.

This had nothing to do with the game. Not even close. And the tiger wasn't stupid. He knew that look, and he knew that tone of voice. It wasn't hard for him to put two and two together as his red eyes sharpened ever so slightly. Well, if they were going to spill the tea, they might as well do it now. And Kagami was done hiding the truth.

"Oh? And what's that? That I like (Y/N)?" The redhead didn't hesitate to finally just come out and say what his supposed 'older brother' wanted him to say.

Kagami knew that's what Tatsuya wanted him to say. It had been pretty obvious considering he started out with saying 'you and her have gotten pretty close'. Like it didn't take long for the tiger to out two and two together. Not long at all. But honestly, Kagami was getting pretty fed up with this whole thing of the black haired boy letting his jealousy take the wheel with this whole thing.

The redhead saw Tatsuya's one visible eye widen for a moment. It was a split second, but Kagami saw it. He wasn't as dumb as what his supposed older brother might've thought. It was pretty obvious where this was going, so the redhead figured he might as well just start off with calling the black haired boy out on something he didn't want to come out and say himself.

It just made the tiger scoff while shaking his head a little bit. Man, and here he thought the distance between the two of them couldn't grow any more than it already had.

"Figured you were waiting for me to say that. Alex already told me what you guys talked about," the hotheaded younger brother informed Tatsuya.

It didn't really need to be a secret any longer. Alex even said that she had spoken with the black haired boy about this stuff, and what he told her back in the states. This didn't need to keep going on with the two of them acting like they didn't know about what was going on with the other. And Tatsuya seemed to agree, but he thought this meant Kagami was acknowledging his feelings so that he would back off.
