Bright and early in the morning, Bernard Shackles went towards the magnificent structure that was his office in a foul mood. His mother had expected him to have been married at his tender age of 27, it isn't easy, he had told her but she wouldn't listen. She even avoided speaking to him for the ‪‬rest of the week. it is sad really, how he could find no one. It wasn't because he was unattractive, it was quite the opposite, in fact, it was the women. They were either severe gold diggers, severe fame hogs or even worse both. It got to a point that his mother even thought he was homosexual which was also very wrong.

Grunting, he went into the elevator in a solemn mood. He didn't know what to do. Just as the door was about to close, a flare that happened to be a young woman with very bright red hair burst through. If it were to be a stereotype, she would have been Irish. She looked up in embarrassment at him and smiled shyly.

"I apologise for that, it wasn't on purpose." She said and blushed causing him to chuckle. Her voice was like a harp to him, very musical and soft, like it could lure him to sleep.
"It's not a problem seriously, everyone makes mistakes.". I gave her a smile and was sent a brighter one.

" Emily Harrison.". She held out her palm for him to shake.
"Bernard Shackles. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. " He took her hand but gave her a kiss on the back and smiled. She smiled back thinking about how much of a charmer he was. She took her hand back with a polite tug.
A ding sounded and neither had noticed that the elevator was moving let alone noticed that it had stopped.

"Well this is my stop." They both said together and laughed as they walked out together. A flurry of many businesswomen rushed towards Bernard like always but this time, he didn't want the attention any more and struggled to escape from it, shagging Emily along with him. She looked and felt terrified as she was barely catching up with him as he dragged her.

He continued to pull her until they had reached his grand office with a sigh of relief. She looked confused and wondered what was happening. He smiled sheepishly at her and scratched the back of his neck.

"I'm sorry about that. It's just they do that a lot and it tends to frighten the women that I am interested in. "He says slightly blushing . She couldn't believe it, A grown man blushing, then she took in the meaning of the sentence he had said and blushed ferociously.

"Would I happen to be one of them? The women that you are interested in." She says stepping closer to him. Any closer to him and they would be chest to chest. He looks at her bewildered but quickly recovers and gives her a seductive grin and pulls her to his chest but her hands force a barrier between them and shakes her head suddenly. He is confused, he thought that she wanted this. Feeling rejected and unwanted, he leaves a massive distance between them which in turn her in the process.

"It's not that I don't want to. It's just, I have a commitment to something many people run away from.". She says sadly and looks at him but he isn't looking at her.

"What kind of commitment?" He asks, his head still turned in the other direction. "Are you in drugs, prostitution, in some kind of debt to a company or something? What is it?" He asks angry. She didn't blame him, all men were like that with her. Always angry.

" No. Yes, I am in debt because of my father. He wasn't a good man, but that's not all. I have a child. He is 10 years old. " She says fondly at the memory but remains embarrassed that she said that.
"Cut!!!! That was amazing darling. I fell in love with that scene again. Trés manifique." St Paul screeched in excitement. This was his last film and he was prepared to make this one the best one ever. His childhood friend Sivoné was prepared to help him in any way she could for his great finale but what she didn't understand was why he chose a love story and made her play the lead. She hated the idea of love.

She despised it as much as she hated her mother. That woman she would call her in utmost loathe and disgust. Not once had she fulfilled the duties of a mother.
Sivoné darling that was amazing. Oh and you too James. Very beautiful but I didn't feel the emotion in this scene. I need to feel sick with love so much that I want to puke rainbows and unicorns." Sivoné rolls her eyes. St Paul has always been known for being eccentric and a bit overdramatic.

"Paul, I don't think I can do this." She says in the kindest way possible. How could she act an emotion that she hadn't felt before and had in no intention to feel ever? It provoked a deep form of guilt. She hated doing anything that she wasn't comfortable about. It brought out the worst in her. Literally. She walks out of the set towards St Paul and him towards her and they meet halfway. He looks disappointed.

"What do you mean 'I don't think I can do this'? Siv, this is the biggest film I'm ever going to direct and now you want to pull the plug on this? Is that fair Siv?" He was trying to make her feel guilty for ruining his last movie. What Sivoné didn't know was that she was a pawn in his game. He was adamant to make Sivoné feel the love that she had deprived herself. It had become his life mission and hell if he had to do it through his last movie had to suffer for it.

Sivoné was like his sister. His rock that he could lean on ever since they shared the same loser table in pre-k through high school and got into Julliard together. When he came out to his parents and they abandoned him, Sivoné was there. Through his first heart break, losing his virginity, through all the icky stuff that no normal straight girl would want to experience. She was the reason why he even went into directing in the first place and she only had to say one sentence. "Damn Paul, you know if you were ever a director, I would go to every single one of your premieres and scream like the fan girl that you know I am."

Only problem was Sivoné wasn't ready for love and she felt that she didn't need it. It was but a burden in her life.

"Sivoné you've got a call...from um...a day care, I think!" yelled the stage manager and she rushed towards the burly man with the balding spot. St. Paul yelled for a break as he rushed over to his only family and practically all he lived for.

"What is it? Is he alright? Uh-huh...yeah. I'll be right there." Sivoné hung up and looked at the second person in her life that she would anything for with tears in her eyes. Practically sobbing she told him. He moved her into his arms and proceeded to head her to his azure car that seemed to flashy to be real. Directing her to the passenger side, he took off to the day care leaving his crew to uncertainty.
